Well, the fact that HEXWARS left means a lot of the stuff goes uncracked or at the very least unreleased for Mac. Sucks for those guys, I suppose. I don't know why they didn't come back and R2R did, I thought they were always in contact with each other and stopped releasing in unison back last year or so.

Anyways, even though I am not a Mac guy I really miss HEXWARS amongst us. And I obviously like paying my respects to R2R, maybe even make it a bi-annual thing just to make sure they can know how much they are appreciated. I don't even download most of their releases anymore nowadays since I have pretty much anything to produce whatever I want to produce. I'm even slowly buying the stuff off my list that I all had pirated through their releases over the years. But I always still "thank" their posts just to pay my respects since I would have never been able to get into music production without these guys.

 

I'm with Army of Ninja's here.... all respect studio5559, but that Hexwars "dude" not only worked closely with R2R to coordinate resources and efforts etc, but is one of the best people I have met virtually online. His retirement has been sad for a lot of OSX users. He had a gift. And was very very generous... not only to members here, but to me personally, as he and I debugged completely "legit" software together.... and he took the time and had the class to help a fool like myself. I just hope he is neck deep in fine beer and whatever else his proclivities may be....

And Catalyst is far from a "clown". Whatever happened with him no longer moderating the sister site is beyond the scope of my knowledge, but he is a friend, ... worked really hard for the site, and while there may be differences of opinion on how things are/were run, I don't think even SAiNT himself (who changed things as is his right) would call him a "clown", and Catalyst is a friend here to many, and I truly hope he and his family are happy, healthy and safe wherever they are.

And as Army of Ninja's said, R2R CLEARLY delineated their issues in many .nfo files during that time. There was no 3rd party hype, or whatnot. I'm going to take them at THEIR word.

 

p.s.: LOVE the R2R tagging.... anyone mind sharing WHERE these shots were taken? Fricking cool....

Yeah! Audio voodoo still exists and doing well!
And what about your power cables? Are they expensive enough?

Seriously, I have several original programs and cracked ones, and completely can't hear any difference. Eg. Cubase, or plugins.

honestly, I am mac, and I own soundtoys everything, so I could care less... but it is still of interest to me.

jk I own the bundle too. I was just being a smartass. Obviously AU or R2R or whoever it was that released the ST bundle didn't go into the code and change the way it processes audio so that guy is probably 100 percent wrong
