I'm a little sad about your decision. You have some rough diamonds there that just need polishing.

    I agree with Zenarcist.

It didn't sound like it was too difficult to make. You had solid ideas that existed, clearly and defined when compared to any of the other tracks in the zip file. But I guess that's what happens when people are too lazy to actually finishing something. Case in point you, are even too lazy to spell out the word something.

Know exactly what you are talking about.:bleh: It's not my fault. There are different genres and concentration on any of them is so hard with their confusing distractions but the situation for the acousticians is different. They're more comfortable. Their favorite styles are finite and also using sounds bounded to some major instruments and what produced by the elctro-men will be simply placed in their ignore list without even listening till the end.

Yes it is. If you let something unrelated to the task distract you. That is absolutely your own fault.

I played back many of your MIDI files, and they are pretty darn good. I simply hear them as 'passages' and phrases that might be inserted into a composition, or even as intros or outros for whatever genre. I'm absolutely sure that some enterprising musician or someone will find them most useful for a project.

I just want to add it takes a lot of effort to go from point A to B, but the hardest part is the A when you have a blank sheet of paper. Once you have a few chords or a melody line you are up and running.

I suggest that you reconsider. You have talent, you definitely shouldn't give up! :)

What exactly did you find difficult? The tunes you provided are mostly rocksolid, and can be turned into gems with a little polishing.
What's hard about music is following through, not throwing in the towel and letting resistance beat you.
I would strongly suggest not to give up, because you have it at your fingertips. It would be a waste, believe me.

In the pro music world it's the producer who takes the idea forward, and as you say it's not easy, so I think it's fair to say that home-based songwriters/musicians/producers are incredibly talented people!

Wow dude these are some good melodies, why did you stop?
If you made it this far, it makes no sense to quit right now, so go ahead and finish something. Even if it sucks, at least you can say "Hey, it's my first song" or something. Honestly I like some of the melodies and it's a pity they will never see the lights :(

It's great that you shared those though !

Arrangement... Maybe for professional musicians this is simple task, but for me its like "mission impossible". =) When i watch videos on youtube or courses, i can not understand how they do it so easily, as if they know what and where it is necessary to add or remove, i can not understand this.

Maybe this is because i have not musical education and don't know how to play instruments, but that's why i look into the eyes of the truth and upload this melodies, for professional musicians they will be more useful. I will be happy if they see the light.

I think it's the most difficult thing in the whole process. If you think all the great arrangers did their outstanding work intuitively like a game, say Beethoven or Chopin, it's quite the opposite. It is a very cognitive and almost mathematical process, following a certain set of written and unwritten rules. If it looks simple, it's because the person in charge is very experienced. Don't make the mistake and compare yourself to professionals with years of experience. It's always frustrating. If you started a year ago with zero knowledge, compare yourself to another person who started at the same point a year ago. But, best of all, don't compare at all, just do it.

If you're interested, here's a series of commented videos on producing a melodic techno (a genre maybe relevant for you...) track from start to finish. Maybe it can help you overcome some roadblocks.

Let me know if you have any questions :)

Yup I agree some of these are hidden treasures that need a few touch ups in the riffs. But overall these would work way better in hiphop or rock/metal than edm.

To me it sounds like you are overthinking it,
the moment you start shuffling, things will sort out itself.

I think the persons you've seen in the videos didn't knew what would happen, they just where lucky. or, (more likely) prepared it.

I didn't knew what style the midi's would fit in nor what your artist name is,
but here I had +-45 min fun with it:

    it's from 78 Aminor
