You can make suggestions to fill up the vote (full product name), and argue.

Can't figure out how to make suggestions. But if i was able to, I would nominate Eiosis AirEQ. What a beautiful sounding EQ.

Edit: Thanks for adding AirEQ as an options

Why not HOFA? It sounds so warm and has an in-build compressor for each band.
For me it 'smells' way better then Fabfilter.

DMG EQuilibrium would be my vote, followed closely behind by the product that will very likely win- FabFilter Pro-Q 2

I voted for Fabfilter's Pro-Q because it's very intuitive, feature-rich, versatile and incredibly light on the CPU.It doesn't sound particularly great, but it's transparent and neutral enough to be used everywhere and with all sorts of material. It's been my goto corrective mixing EQ since forever.

Freiraum is a CPU killer. Am I right?

    Cubendo`s inbuilt EQ,because i use it 80% of time,its transparent,i dont have to load it,ideal for fast HP/LP filtering.
    Saves tremendous amount of time.
And for busses i use other high end boutique EQs.

I love Eiosis Eq because is the only plugin that I know that makes you use your ears. Eiosis Eq makes you to work by using only the knobs and I think that would help you in the long run, because it will help you to identify the bad/good frequency that you want to cut out or boost by hearing the audio. However, Eiosis EQ is limited by eq bands but i think it still a good eq

Cubase build-ins are very good for cuts- mostly underrated. Sometimes I'm not sure, when I should replace them.

boutique EQ? Versace, Yve Saint Laurent, Loui Vuitton?

Tdr slickeq mastering,ge,standard and dmg equilibrium. Still can't agree that pro-q2 maybe better than equilibrium. Pro-q2 is very good, but not the best. There are a lot of good eqs, but Tdr and dmg are true algorithms and sound quality without crap marketing and salesman's promotional words like it's supertrue analog and much vibier than vintage classic.

I use DMG Equality most of the time, but also Fabfilter ProQ 2, and TB Equalizer from ToneBoosters which is rather underrated and a nicely sounding workhorse EQ, too. DDMF 6144 is also a really nice sounding EQ that forces you to use your ears instead of your eyes. <-- this is a really good thing. :winker:

What I'm looking for in an EQ is that it emulates the analogue curves as close as possible, and only EQuality, ProQ2, and TB EQ, with EQuality being the best sounding and most close to analogue of them, do that. All other EQs function and sound pretty much the same, and there's nothing wrong with choosing an EQ that you happen to simply like or it just fits your workflow. I mean, analogue hardware EQs sound more different from one another than digital EQs. Same goes for compressors and all other analogue processors. It is harder to make a badly sounding digital plugin than analogue hardware.

    Cheers! :headbang:

Skrillex used the native Ableton compressor for his first record, sometimes less is more.

Mostly my DAW's Stock EQ. I use Reaper and Bitwig, and both have decent EQs. Pro-Q2 for specific tasks. Hardware emulations like Slick EQ, Maag EQ4, PSP E27 etc mainly on vocals.

in terms of flexibility you cant beat stock plugins. they are so well integrated in the DAW. so why should get any other EQ for it? \o/
the stock plugins are fine, if you really dont want to make any HQ music, which then gets compressed in mp3 32kbit and broadcasted over a stream. :D
