Eiosis has released version 1.1.20 of its AirEQ plug-in in order to bring fixes, improvements and new features.

What’s new in AirEQ v1.1:

- 3 additional slopes for the high-pass and low-pass filters
- Added resonance to the 6 dB high-pass and low-pass filters, accessible via the Q knob
- Contextual help added to all controls, can be enabled via Display>Contextual Help
- The Band Solo feature is now also enabled for the high and low-pass filters
- Added commands that allows for using both Frequency Finder and Band Solo features without having to
change settings: Shift+Frequency applies - - your favorite behavior, while Shift+Alt+Frequency applies

Yesterday I "Tried" this plugin,

Normally I'm a bit of chauvinistic, but Pro-Q 2 gets beaten for vocals at least,
presets are actually helpful, pure delight nothing else

instant buy, can't believe nobody ever mentioned it before....
And yes I'm pretty vague , but you need to try it for yourself

Have you tried DMG's Equilibrium?

 

yes for vocals, I also think it's THE Eq

before I used all the time Pultec + MAAG

but it's so much easier to get a natural sound with this one, both in space (presence or not) and air, I certainly agree that it's a instant buy

Didn`t this EQ cost around 300-400$ in late 2015,i could be wrong though?

 

Nah it's been 149$ with he odd 99$ sale (such as last week) for a while now (or longer- I have never known it be more expensive than this)

Yeah normally eq8 is more than adequate, nice to have options though

Yeah it sounds alright, but I prefer equilibrium, much more possibilities...Actually the air eq curve is in equilibrium (it's the "Flatop" model with its "soften" option), it came out before and D.Gamble released a paper about the curve (to put it in the public domain) of this eq and kept F.Gabriel from patenting it (which would have been outrageous since it's a curve that can be easily achived). And equilibrium also includes curves of the SSLs, 4 ofxords, focusrite ISA 110, harrison, neve 88, pultec, api 550, sontec and the DMG curve, amongs others...It's the ultimate eq.

This is the best modern eq. It is transparent and always gets the job done. Just like having a "second chance" to go back and do it correctly the first time EQ. It is a must have. Amazing for "fixing" stereo mixes.
