    WOODWIND ENSEMBLE

SYMPHONY SERIES – WOODWIND ENSEMBLE delivers the rich, earthy sound of a 36-piece woodwind orchestra. Each section – flutes, oboes, clarinets, bassoons, saxophones , and bass winds (contrabassoons and bass clarinets) – features six players recorded in meticulous detail for a total of 57.9 GB of content.

WOODWIND ENSEMBLE features 314 articulations including special effects, true legato, and time-adjustable arpeggios. All recordings were captured from four discrete mic positions, which can be easily blended directly from the Mixer interface. Even straight out of the box, the sound is deep, full, and precise.

    WOODWIND SOLO

SYMPHONY SERIES – WOODWIND SOLO richly captures the sound of professional concert flute, oboe, Bb clarinet, bassoon, tenor saxophone and contrabassoon soloists – 33.4 GB of pristinely sampled solo instruments.

The signature SYMPHONY SERIES interface provides immediate control of 148 articulations, including special effects, flourishes, and ultra-realistic true legato. It also lets you seamlessly blend dynamic layers to achieve the natural expressiveness of solo woodwind performances.

I've just seen the 'Solo' demo and sorry to say I'm not that impressed so far. Although there are loads of articulations I felt the tone(s) (especially the Flute) were a little harsh and rather nasal. Until we get the chance to play with this ourselves it's impossible to know exactly what it's really like.

since i never used Berlin woodwinds i have no idea about the comparison between both libraries
maybe members here could help with the comparison between Both libraries

is too early to judge from few Youtube videos (i believe a full review video will give us more knowledge about This Libraries)
for now i use Chris Hein Woodwinds Bundle v2
i won't judge it until i test it since i will try NI SYMPHONY SERIES WOODWIND Ensemble & Solo in a few days
indeed there's a lot of articulations and a lot of nki Files and I'm sure you will find that sound you're looking for
beside that dynamics knob is very useful

I think that was a sort of joke. Like Pass on using a bit of the spelling of Bassoon.

SF could be a choice indeed but Im personally not impressed of what SF has done with percussion so far.
    What about OT or SoundIron?
