Me too. The problem with all the other dark skins is you can never see the grid. This one is perfect.

 

Watching this thread has cured me of a dreadful addiction to Ewok pr0n.

Thanks dear mod, but please give my likes back and also "For Steve" track. I loved it.

 

Finally got around to finishing this, I still gotta mix it properly tho. This goes to show you, that you can find inspiration in the most unlikely of places. This track was completely inspired by a fellow forum member's comments. I used 9 instances of spire, (just because its his favorite synth), a couple of home made drum racks, a kontakt lib for the 808 subs, and random samples from the sister site. I changed the lead to the trendy vox style as well. He even inspired the random Whitney Houston vocal I tuned and used. I haven't made an EDM track in quite a while, over 6 years or so. I've been recording and mixing local rock bands these days. I chose this trendy genre because its new and I like that there are no real rules. As long as you have big chords in a maj key, 808 hats/drop, and organic samples, anything goes.

The chorus has a really demented sound to it. I like how you pitch bent it a little.

 

Like a deranged circus side show. Happy and creepy at the same time. LoL Those octave pitched female vox always sounded eerie to me
