Just curious to know if the legitimately purchased Ableton crashes less than the pirated/cracked Ableton?

How would anyone know. You either have one or the other.

Actually, I think it's 3rd party VST's that causes the crashes.

I heard of people having first the one, then the other.
vsts and m4l devices mostly crash Live.

Yes but my point is, If you had a moody copy , then went legit, you would most likely have an updated version of it which meant you couldn't make a direct comparison.

Ok so let me rephrase: the crashes I ever experience are related to vsts and/or m4l devices, thus not subject to the legitimacy of Ableton Live.
Is this representative? Probably not, but I do use Live for several hours every day.

have legit standard, and suite for opening projects which use sampler(etc.), same experience (one crash in every 4 hours without m4l, and more often with it)

I work with Ableton Live for hours and hours without any crashes or glitches. To me most stable DAW to date. But be cautious with 3rd party plugins. They can crash Live. For instance I had to disable Fabfilters OpenGL graphics acceleration (Windows registry entry) , otherwise any of the Fabfilter plugin would crash my Ableton Live within few minutes.

Id say yes but it does depend on what mood your pc is in as it defo is for me.......

Reading t4b,s thoughts and yeah its usually in the scanning phase of 3rd party stuff where i have an issue, Thing is i dont really use any of the onboard vsts so me disabling them is a no no..

i have hardly had Live crash since the early miserable days of version 8.0.x
don't know about cracked version but with legit Live9.6, legit M4L and all legit VSTs/AUs it is super stable.
Rob Papen Predator used to crash Live lots, but I haven't that in a long long time nowadays.
