Pro-L, nice GUI, great algorithms, lots of control and 4x oversampling.

Btw, your list is kinda weird, theres some really obscure limiters but missing a lot of popular ones like L2 and L3, and AOM Invisible Limiter, McDSP ML1 ML4000, FG-X

Yes, DMG Limitless. I chose FF Pro-L because it's my 2nd favourite.

I generally use ToneBoosters Barricade because it's got great metering and I generally master to K-14 or K-12, so I don't really care how it sounds "pancaked". I only need good EBU and K compliant metering, ISP to take care of the highest peaks, and TPDF dithering. It's also *very* cost effective. ToneBoosters also has some other great plugins [Reelbus, EQ, Timemachine, Ferox] aside from Barricade that are very reasonably priced.

Sometimes I use PSP Xenon for the same reasons as Barricade. Both Barricade and Xenon also have a "preview" function so you can hear what it sounds like at different volume. I like to preview at different volumes, so I'm able to find the perfect volume for my ears, that is the volume at which it still sounds good, not like crap.

When I need to ruin the recording - smash the hell out of it, I generally use Voxengo Elephant, but I always try with Barricade or Xenon first. So I voted Barricade because I use it most of the time.

Different limiters for different tasks. So hard to pick just one, so I didn't.

Depends, I use quite a few like others have mentioned. I have used over the years; Digidesign Maxim, Sony Oxford Limiter/Sonnox Sony Oxford Limiter, Elemental Audio Systems/Roger Nichols Digital Finis (occasionally Finis 3), Waves L1, L2, L3 (occasionally L3-LL and L316) , McDSP ML4000, IK Multimedia T-RackS (The original version which are now named classic or something), Voxengo Elephant 2, 3 & 4, Sonalksis Maxlimit (occasionally Multilimit), Vlad's Limiter №6, PSPaudioware Xenon, FabFilter Pro-L, LVC Audio's Clipper and limiters, Brainworx bx_XL/Plugin Alliance Brainworx bx_XL V2, DMG Audio Limitless. Non-Plugin wise I've used a TC Electronic Finalizer for over a decade, There are probably more I've forgotten than I've remembered to be honest. The stuff that I reach for still/Go to depending on what I'm doing/What the track needs: Sonnox Oxford Limiter, Waves L3, Voxengo Elephant 4, Vlad's Limiter №6, LVC Audio's Clipper and limiters, PSPaudioware Xenon, FabFilter Pro-L and the TC Finalizer. I really need to take the time to try out DMG Audio's Limitless on my own setup as I've only used it elsewhere, It sounded excellent as in not really audible at sensible GR settings and the clipping section is very slick from initial impressions.

I had no more possibility to ad more options.
I just followed the list of the link.

  15. None of the above. When I do I love to use Limiter°6. You all should try it out if you have not already.

Limiter no6 rocks, especially for a free plugin. It's better than a large swath of paid limiters I've tried. I find the clipper especially handy. Vladg knows what he's doing.

I'm pretty sure that limiter doesn't have ISP limiting functionality... does it?

3rd house on the left. The one with the lemon trees
Agree.Especially when you have in mind 2 more parameters. The first is how much you intended to push your loudness to the max. If so then you'll have to think not only the character but also how "true" is the limiting. If not (pushing it hard) then you mostly think of the limiter's character and not the actual point of limiting (If it's true then you don't mind if it's -0,10 or -0,14) .The second thing you'll have to think of is the format that you'll choose to export your track. Will it be wav,diff,mp3,aac etc.Cause each one of those formats has it's own clipping values. For ex. wav might clip on 0.01 but aac might clip on -0.32 (those are random values). Then you'll have to seriously think of the point that each limiter clips.
