No need to buy it - Ignore the moralists -

There is another release that repaired that issue -
The first release I had used to do the same -
In the end I kept a text document with the serial number on my desktop to speed up the continuous re-inputing of it -
But as I say - There is a new release and that issue is gone so go check Audioz

If you're using a cracked version (Which I'm guessing you must be) this happens when you save presets. There was a keygenned release after this that was supposed to have fixed the issue. If it detects a crack it deletes your license file when you save a preset. So if you have Ableton Live, just save it as an instrument rack instead of a Serum preset. Problem solved.

This still happened to me for a while even after I bought Serum. Sometimes it still has to rebuild the library when I save a preset, no matter how many times I delete user.dat and enter my legit serial. Kind of a pain in the ass tbh

    just bsing

dont worry guys, steve duda has blessed us with easy use

its bit of nagware if you save a preset but of course, its totally worth the price of under 200

even with live lite 9 (or any vst host) and ONLY serum you would have a complete daw with a very versatile synth and lots of great effects

Of course you can use the nagware version if you pass the build in intelligence test..

I have the April Version, low cpu usage even at 4x

Among the best vsts for sure

I´m sorry for not knowing your language entirely. To me that seems like an odd deal. That protection of Serum seems like aiming to annoy legit users. You are alright with that?

Haha .. funny. I agree with you. You`re making jokes, aren´t you?

No need to apologize. I didn't realize I was writing to someone whose first language is not English, or I would have tried to use simpler sentences.

It's not supposed to happen to legit users. It just happens to me occasionally because I used to use the crack. Maybe a left over registry entry or something? I'm not really that smart with computers.

It seems to happen less and less often though. Hopefully it will eventually just go away. It would be weird for me to ask Steve Duda about it.
"Hey... I used to steal your synth but now I don't. How do I get rid of the copy protection?" :)

My legit copy does this often so I keep my serial saved an a text file on my red top. It is annoying. Never used the k'd either.

For all the people stating that your legit soft does this shit, ASK the companies/developers in question how to get rid of this annoyance.

Alternatively name your garbage bin after your favorite license key or other desktop kung fu

Also, there are payed user forums for Serum, you can ask about your most intimate problems there if you are too shy to talk to long haired blondes directly.

i wish it were that simple but i think cakewalk command centre is such a nightmare and the response codes you seem to need make it harder than just renaming the trash bin (but good idea by the way!) to a single serial.

also cakewalk have never responded to me.

i'm guilty of going off topic so i'll shuddup now

I never had that sort of problems with Serum. Did you check the support forum on Xfer website? Also Steve is really helpful in these cases, you should try and reach him on twitter or support.
