    Hi,
I found a little time to get back to my last production and here is the changed version of the track.

    http://soundcloud.com/towa22/for-me-to-remember-short-edit

I tried to keep the over all feeling alive, but I changed the arrangement quiet a bit and I made it almost 3 minutes shorter than the original. So it should be a different experience this time.
I only had headphone for the final mix this time and I did a pretty quick and rough master.

Please leave some feedback and constructive criticism.

Hope you`ll enjoy it. I certainly did enjoy working on it again after all your feedback!

    Hoi!

I'll give you some constructive criticism, after listening in both speakers and headphones (Behringer B1031A and my Sennheiser HD-25-1 II) the first thing is i think the main bassdrum doesn't really fit into the mix you should have some other.. I guess something like the bassdrum in Ghosts N Stuff would fit better you know something hihatty. You are very good at sounds & melodies so you got some nice tones in there, no doubt. The percussion in the mix is awesome.

    Peace.

I enjoyed this, lots of variation in the song.

About the kick; maybe some compression could help, not to get it louder but to get the release a bit louder, the 'keep the kick longer in the mix', giving it a less dry feel.

I like the stereowidening on the handclaps (delayed and panned).

Thanks guy. I really appreciate the feedback.
I already made some changes to the kick... I had it low passed a little too much at times, which I don't really need cause of the ducking. I made the delayed clap a little louder, so it`s more obvious and supports the "clickiness" of the kick.
I hope it´s a little better already, but I will take a closer look at this with a little more time later. When I hear all the sounds over and over I easily loose track of what I really want and start changing things that are not necessary or good for that matter.

So just have a listen again. I will definitely put some more work into this one.

honestly I'm more a fan of the former version.
I liked the easygoing, playful touch within the more darkish or melancholc atmosphere. I guess it was more "you".
this one seems to me a little restrictive to kinda radio oder clubsound measurements. but the sound design got a little better I think.

nevertheless, keep up... etc. (Du weißt schon..)

Thanks mate. You`re right though, the previous version was more "me", but as I said I wanted to keep that for myself for now.
Glad to hear you liked it more.
For this one I basically changed some of the sounds in the old version and mixed it and after that I went through the critique again.
So I changed the arrangement and some of the sounds. It´s definitely more of a commercial arrangement and the overall sound should have gotten a little more 'open'.
I hope I haven't destroyed too much of the atmosphere of the old one, but sure...new, shorter arrangement leads to some shorter build ups for energy and atmosphere...

There will be a lot more to come in my style. But I wanted to take some of the feedback to heart and create something "new" - or at least changed - out of it!
