Ableton splashscreen - hidden in Graphics.alp?

    ableton went from a folder with splashscreen.tiff to a hidden graphic in their proprietary .alp format

    douchebags!!

    how can this file be opened/edited?

    a way would be to debug ableton and check where and how ableton unpacks the content/graphics in memory of the Graphics.alp, then one could analyse and rebuild it, it takes a lot of time, but you can learn a lot.

    sorry, I guess I am not understanding....is this on a new beta? and what problem does this cause? (excuse my ignorance on this!)

    @sisyphus maybe he wanted to edit the splash screen?

    well the splashscreen is since v9 in a alp file. v8 i dont know.

    Thanks ArticStorm.... that's the only thing I could think of as well.... I guess I don't get too much into "pimping my ride" kinda stuff with software that I rely on, I just want it to work... same thing with "skins", I can understand if certain contrast ratios etc, bother one's eyes, or need to use it in a certain location etc, or perhaps a skin that puts parameters where you may want them in a different sense (HAVE NOT SEEN THAT YET, but haven't looked....)... so I tend to avoid all of that myself... but to each his own! Hope you are well...
