Not a day goes by without a kit or a bank for those two...
Are these programmers really making any money out of it?
Wouldn't it be more fruitful to make patches for less common synths like Dune or Diva (non exclusive list of course)
Making a poll to see what synth deserve better than just a few banks here and there...
If you have suggestions for the poll feel free ;)

PS : I left out several good synths that already have a large amount of presets like Spire or Omnisphere 2

PS : Impossible to change the poll now... so Sorry for Synthmaster, Serum and some others probably

Personally I would love to see some more Synthmaster banks. From the list I think Sunrizer definitely deserves more attention.

Spire has already a lot of them considering its young age...
Tried to add Serum but there's a limited number of possible answers... :dunno:

so why does everybody banks for massive and sylenth1?
because its the most synths out there, chances are high you sell something, all others have not users and this means you invested a lot of hours and get like 2-3 sales.

    cant add another entry either.

hmm right now i dont need any soundsets or presets, as i just play around with the presets i have.

I don't know. But it seems to me that there are too many offers on the market so how do to stand out from the crowd to get those sales?
Sometimes it's better to have niche products and be the only guy offering them no?

Maybe you can include the option: `No, I don`t want anymore preset banks` into your poll.

    Then I can vote.

how to stand out? simple presets and a lot garbage, cheaper price - check vandalism for example and other are even more worse.

niche doesnt sale i can tell you, you invested 50 hours in the soundset and get a few sales, not worth it. (frome experience)
niche does mean for more non-mainstream genres and themes.

I use Massive in every production - That and a list of other synths too - Like all of us - But I have to agree with you on the Massive & Sylenth patch issue - I downloaded the 54 thousand pack of patch's for Massive at some point recently - And - What a wast of time - 90% of what I heard was rubbish - In the time spent searching for something good in the other 10% I could have programmed a better patch myself -

The Bazille u-he synth - That I have - I have made an attempt at programming it - Not easy - Patch's for that I'd appreciate -

Bazille, A synth has huge possibilities, for musician it's less intuitive, and hard to program.

It's not that there are too many presets packs for a given synth. There are too many poor presets packs, sounding like C64 music.
The best would be a comperensive searchable database of presets-packs with user ratings and a small preview.
Not a bad idea, if the audiosex users would name the best packs for their preferred synth.

Spending more time with programming and understanding is better choice.
I don't need more presets at all.

Agree but sometimes reverse engineering patches made by more skilled producers can be enlightening.

From an economic standpoint: no. It makes business sense to produce for the synths people use the most. For example, am I going to make more money producing a case for an Apple iPod or a Microsoft Zune? The argument can certainly be made that the lesser used synths will get more good out of more soundbanks being produced for it. And the producers using those sounds may even agree. But from a financial perspective, you would probably want to produce for the synths that more people use.

As evidence of this, look at what these sound design companies are doing: they produce for a few very popular synths--not tons of lesser known ones.

I have personally produced several soundbanks. And I saw my best returns with Spire and Sylenth.

Don't think this means I don't agree that more diversity would be nice. It just doesn't make as much money for the sound designers.
