I will contribute to this. I LOVE & adore trance music. I make a lot of trance, despite the inexplicable lack of it on my Soundcloud.

What kind of trance are we talking about? I'm currently making a small (hopefully it gets big) album of old skool trance.
Maybe I can send you some of tracks.

Question: if I send you a track and gets included in the comp. can I include it on my album?

i like old school too ...obviously trance is what it where some years ago, very few tracks can be called trance today ...especialy those with vocals, way too commercial had become ...and now every track seems to aim for that big fat sounds ever produced, thats the trend for these late years ...there is no more variety in trance, 95% of tracks sounds like its all one track ...listen to early 2001 to 2007 ...then all little by ittle became more like the same sound, till 2011 all pretty much aimed for same sound ...all tho i dont produce almost nothing i thing im pretty experienced in what i do, and all of my tracks 90% of the time sounds different ...i mean the sound i aiming for, i like variety and i dont tend to use same sounds/presets on many tracks ...i kinda lost interest in this genre but i still really love it ...lately im thinking to get into pop rock alternative music, chillout, breaks ...but its hard to give up on this beautyful genre of music ...

...and like in every genre, some refresh in sound is ok but after some point it gets borring, look at trance with beautiful symphony orchestra in the main break, after the big boom slovenian Andy Blueman released in 2009 many tried to copy his sound ...and i think all failed, there is only one Andy Blueman ...only one Tiesto from 2000 ...only one Armin from 2005 to late 2010 ...one Jurgen back in 2003 ...one Ferry Corsten thru out 2000's ...one Ron Van Den Beuken ...one Marcel Woods ...Menno De Jong ...yeah, those was years!

...funny is i like agressive banging tracks but those i like respect a certain cross limit, im reffering to producers like Jonn Askew, John O'Callaghan (Joint Operation Centre), Giuseppe Ottaviani, Sean Tyas, Brian Kearney, etc all inspired from Paul Van Dyk @ Vandit sound label...to add more there is one artist that added fresh new sound on this, he mixed up minimal-tech-deep-house (lol) with this agressive sound, Alex Di Stefano ...very fresh trance vibe!

...Bonzai label seems it came back from dead

...ohh well ...when do we start !?

Same here. The one of today barely puts you in any trance. It's just that "trance" sounds better and more exotic than commercial dance.

Anyway I'm more towards 90 - 00 but anythingis welcome. I just noticed this was an older thread :( Someone should pick it up again

I got my start dj'ing trance tunes back in the 90's so I have a bit of a soft spot for the genre. I'd be down for making a track especially to get me out of my normal routine.
