    Let's be honest, we all know that it's not that hard to grab a copy of the latest Billboard Top100 in a matter of seconds from a number of Direct Downloads or Torrent sites. However, Professional DJs or Amateurs working hard on making a Pro transition gotta have some sorts of official approach on purchasing tracks [By the way, we're NOT gonna open a debate as to why you refuse to buy, will never buy, do you still buy?, etc... If you don't buy then just skip]. There are many advantages on getting your tracks from music services: Availability, Quality, Quantity, Rarity, Exclusive... bottom line, less headaches and worries. Depending which market you are serving then a specific store would appeal to you.

    My list:
    DANCE/EDM: Beatport, Trackdown.net, Audiojelly, Junodownload
    Hip-Hop/R&B, Mainstream Dance with Extended Versions, Serato Builds and Cues built in the track: i12inch.com
    Hip-Hop/R&B FREE and Legit Download: Digiwaxx (Just register as an active DJ with small proof required)
    Hip-Hop/R&B FREE and Legit Download: Whitelabel.net (Exclusively For Serato Users)
    All Genres: Zune

    So, what is YOUR list?

    ditto, beatport is the main one, juno is a close second. As a DJ though you also get a lot of tracks sent to you to promote and play pre-release too.

    beatport is really selling bad commercial music these last years, each monthes there is more and more electro in every genre:

    minimale => they sell electro
    techno => they sell minimale

    even deep house category sounds too much "clubby" now to be some real smooth chillin stuff.
    when something is released on beatport, you just have to type "name of the song + zippyshare" and you've got it on the first link: i think it is because A LOT of djs are playing these sounds so you can find it very easily on internet. i don't think a dj must go in this way: you don't have to play what everybody plays.

    so here's my favorite site; i don't buy on it (i've never bought music any more since 2003) but there are very inspirant techno and (real) house music:
    http://www.decks.de/ they sell really good vinyls. and as you'll notice, it is much harder to get some of these sounds on google, but it is better quality music almost all the time..

    With all due respect bro, musical taste is NOT what this thread is for, it is simply to list the stores. However, since you still miss the point and brought it up, I'll just briefly address it. Your taste in music and what is considered "real house music" is an individual preferences, it is your choice and opinion. In no way does it mean that it is "bad commercial music" for everybody. This is one topic I don't discuss with anybody anymore because it simply makes no sense to. Everybody out there feels they are entitled to state and elect what's "real" and what's not; I appreciate music for what it is: MUSIC. You gonna have your choice and everybody else in here and in the world will have theirs.

    Mislabeling of Genres exist in every stores, sometimes it is the catalog handler's fault and sometimes it is the artist sending the track in, who mislabels it. So, finding Electro in the Minimal section or Funk in the Disco section is not far fetched. At the same time, I'm not sure that you have a problem with mislabeling at Beatport or any store for that matter because as you stated, you don't buy music, right? So, no problem, keep getting your music the best way you know.

    I usually get all of my tunes off of beatport, unless it's country music! I remember when "Zune" came out and how disorganized all the EDM was, lol. I hope amazon is nothing similar. It's been awhile sense I bought EDM online, so I'm sure the game has changed. Nothing beats that feeling of me holding an album that I got an artist to sign, those memories are priceless!

    I've been wondering for a while to find a way to pay my favorite composers, because in reality warez web-sites are organized better than those stores; yet i want to support artists, but still haven't found a way to do that :sad:

    if you're not averse to paying a bit of money--bestdjremixes.com charges $75 quarterly and supplies nearly daily packs from all the big hitters: Crooklyn, DJCity/UK, DMS, Club Killers, MyMp3Pool and slightly less frequently BPMSupreme (on top of a few other occasional pools like Franchise, BestDJRemixes, Crack4DJs, funkymix, etc)

    dj-compilations.com is essentially the same with a few more eclectic collections thrown in (as well as BeezoBH, which i like)--they provide ftp access. cheers!
