Hey all. I'm seriously considering Amplitube 4. Does it include all the version 3 sounds/gear?

Some of my more important sessions have Amplitube 3 in them and I don't want to lose that. Can they both be on the same machine?

    Thanks!

Yes to both of your questions. I think you have to import your old presets to Amplitube 4, but it has all the old models in it.

  4. Yep... Just remember that Amplitube is x64 only... :like:

As mentioned the presets are not all there. 4 seeMs to have a different sound as well. I think it's the changes in the cab area doing it.

  6. @Voo have you tried to import them back via the standalone?
I've either got some compatibility problems doing it in the DAW... It takes a little bit of time but you should be able to get your sounds back...

I think to be safe, I will just run both Amplitube 3 and 4. I'll have 3 for my old projects and I will use 4 for all the new if I don't use some other amp sim.

Anyone else running both versions? Just curious if that causes any issues.

    Thanks!

Been a long time since I last used AT3 but I remember I encountered a few troubles to load AT3 custom presets into AT4 back in the days. (VST version in my DAW).
So don't get rid of AT3 too early so you can find a proper way to achieve it.

Sorry I been away to answer this
I run Amplitube 3 and 4 just because Ive tried to duplicate a preset in 4 and it just sounds different.

The preset in question and setup below (Amplitube 3)
Preset is called Ambient SR but modified by changing the cab to a 2x2 open Vintage
kill the spring reverb on the amp and compressor in the rack
Put the TSE 808 in the front of the chain. Tweak the amp and TSE until you get it right.

Use your fav external reverb vst
Note: I like Mono Reverbs at times. Waves has a few Specifically designated MONO
Stereo reverbs sound different I don't care how you set it up

I live in the Blues Clean to Crunch Overdriven sounds with various guitars. Strat, Tele, Gibson Humbuggies

    Have you tried S-Gear?

I use TS-808 into S-Gear all the time and I just forget that I am dealing with software. Instead of getting "tweaky tweaky, this doesn't sound right" like I did with those big guitar amp bundles, now I just play.

I tried the trial once and Flexnet killed my install of OLDER Autocad With Land Desktop 2009. Its what I use for work.
Wont buy S-Gear after that one.

Flexnet is a copy protection that writes a Boot Block error ON PURPOSE.
Autocad Land Desktop does the same thing and apparently wont coexist with S-Gears newer version of Flexnet.

Ive talked to the Dev over there and he tried to help, he asked for me to contact the flexnet people but I was completely pissed after losing my work stuff.

Now they make a ilok version.. Im thinking he had other complaints.
Maybe one day I can try it out.

In the meantime I have a Hardware ElevenRack and a bunch of real amps.
Axe Fx hopefully in June.. I been saving.
