    Hii..
    I am switching completely to Reaper and I love it.
    I want to know is there a way to transpose selected midi notes up or down an octave in midi editor? Please help me if there is a way.

    Like in Ableton, Shift + Arrow(up or down) transposes selected notes octave up or down.

    i don't know if there's a keyboard shortcut, (there is probably), but right click to select the notes you want to transpose. Then in midi editor menu there is a transpose notes command with changeable options.

    Yes, I find it annoying because everytime I have to open transpose window and type 12 to tronspose midi notes..
    :dunno:

    i understand. Well, if you are using it that often make a keyboard shortcut for it, or a macro. Reaper is good with doing either. it takes 5 seconds to do.

    There's an SWS action for it. You can bind it to a key or make a toolbar button for it. You'll need the sws extensions for reaper. Once thats installed search for "midi octave" in the actions list.

    But that is for midi items, not midi notes. Maybe there is no other option to do this. Anyway, thanks :disco:

    the default assignment is;

    Alt+Num 2 Move notes Down 1 Octave
    Alt+Num 8 Move notes Up 1 Octave

    You can find shortcuts by right clicking the toolbar in the MIDI edtor
    and selecting 'Customize Toolbar'

    At the bottom left select 'Add'

    At the top left input you search word in 'Filter'

    You will now see a list of assigned shortcuts.

    So its the num pad instead of the arrow keys and alt instead of shift, Got it!
    I am really loving reaper BTW Already copied most of my favorite kb shortcuts over to reaper. And I can finally have a shortcut for freeze track(s) :wink:
