I've been struggling for the last month with that external audio hardware.

All of a sudden, it would stop working.
    No sound.
And even DAW got stuck. When hitting play, the project wouldn't play.
I don't mean no sound. I mean stuck in time, not playing through the timeline.

Problems started after US-122 Drivers Update.

I've been looking deep into Win7, updated drivers, even uninstalled NVidia audio drivers in case of conflict.

I made sure drivers where up to date. I've uninstalled drivers and reinstalled.
i made sure the firmware was up to date. It was but i reinstalled it anyway, just to make sure.
Tought it fixed the problem but it came back.
Now, Reboot to make sure everything is loaded properly ...

Since the problem was returning every hour or so ...
and i found RACtask in schedule manager ... it is triggered every hour ...
    SHOULD I DEACTIVATE THIS ?????
at least, to help it, i deleted the history/list of error (over 40000 lines in a xml file) and cleared every log (4) in the event viewer ...

In short : UPDATE or REINSTALL DRIVERS and FIRMWARE ... and REBOOT

It's been few hours and still working ...
    I'll keep you informed.

Kick that crap interface. Starting with the potentiometers, the case, the quality of the preamps and DACs, the SPDIF ... just everything about this interface is crap. You will get 2 things from this interface: bad sound and a variety of Blue Screens, especially in combination with hibernation and energy saving mode.

If you are happy with it. I have the bigger version (us144mkII) ... if you want it, I'll send it to you, for free, and I pay the postal fee ... honestly: I'd gladly pay to have that shit outta my house. So, if you want it, it's yours. Drop me a PO-Box in a private msg (so you stay anonymous) and I'll send it to you.

EDIT: RAC Task is ascheduled data collector task. You can deactivate/flush it via the Task Scheduler interface.

I had this interface and got the same problem.
It's a known problem for Windows (any version) 64 bit as I've used 32 bit previously and really worked good.
Unfortunately, there is no final solution right now than unplug your interface and plug it again. I found this tiring.
Gladly, I replaced it with Behringer UMC202HD which is subjectively better IMO (preamp wise, quality of converter, etc).
