First they bashed, then they apoligized, and now they bash again :D No seriously tho, I really really take offence when someone says sorry for not having english as their first language, I dont take offence from the people saying sorry but rather from the people who bashed everyones small experience with the english language. If you dont understand that some people dont speak english on a daily basis and you have to hate on them you is bamong the lowest things you can do imo. You dont get to decied which people should learn what just because you have trouble understanding them because you aint used to reading/listening to people who cannot speak your language fluently, you are ignorant and you think the world should do as you ask of it, you aint god.

Alltho some people who themselves understand they have really bad english deserves a thumbs up for telling us that before they start typing about something else. Not everyone is that honest with themselves to admit they are bad at something.

U wer sayin'? Righty then. Since Englesh is so commonly used (and more or less has to be used, for a lot of stuff, especially now that it's the fastest to create and adopt technological and new cultural terms) I say you're free to butcher it as much as you like. Consider it payback. Everyone does it. You can do it, too. If someone complains, say they're grammar police nazis and continue your lels.

Be bold, be proud. Decimate everything in your way. Leave nothing and noone standing. Impose your importance. Spread your lels.

In general, some people are criticizing on everything and this is a way of living for them. The I "know all" guy is waiting for his opportunity to jump out of the corner and be a smart ass or the snob he was taught to be. Anyone that is willing to communicate, is capable to understand others intentions, even if he's using only 10 words of an entire language.
The disadvantage of internet is that you can not use your hands to "speak".

First of all, when I try to communicate something, I allways try to find the "better" words and "better" syntactical structure in my own language (castellano). I'm saying better and not right. But even in castellano sometimes is difficult to understand what the hell some guy or girl is talking about with all that web slang and acronyms. No to mention the awful bad spelling. So in english there are (to me) several obstacles:
    • The language itself.
    • The web uses (no the same in castellano).
    • The constant changes of meanings that every language has.
    • Irony and humour missunderstood.

I don't use the chat because of that, plus I have to think and choose the words so when I come up with a reply, well, people are talking about other things.
So time after time, I apologize for my lack of english knowledge just to let people know that I'm not a lazy bastard who doesn't care if anyone understand what he's saying.
Maybe I have to change the "sorrys" or "excuse mes" for a a little footnote: Not an english man in New York.

Finally I truly believe that bad typing (when there's no joke involved) on purpose is disrespecful towards community.

    Peace

In fact, I don't give a shit if people wants to apologies for their Englitch or if they sign their post as a letter. It doesn't matter because they stop on their own with time and self confidence. Besides, I think this thing of apologies is more a concern about the fact to not be understandable more than bad spelling & grammar IMHO.

:hahaha:, I feel exactly the same! :hifive:

Well... Can't say I agree. I don't know chinese, but I'm spanish. Both spanish and latin americans are ALWAYS fighting for the language. A quick look into animation videos on youtube delivers thousands of comments of people insulting each other. Just because they can't stand how "the other spanish" sounds. Actually, the spanish spoken in Spain (Castilian) and latin spanish are much more different than british and american english, for example.

So yeah, I'm cool with using english as a common language. At least I never see online fights with it the way I see them with spanish.
