    YOUR NEW MUSICAL LANGUAGE
Discover the sophisticated rhythms, irregular time signatures, and unique melodic structures of the Indian musical tradition with INDIA.

The scales of this musical culture (called 'ragas') can be mapped to your keyboard in a number of ways and adjusted to taste for the perfect mood.

Easy-to-use mixer and effects sections let you tailor the levels of the instruments and space in your mix without stepping out of your creative flow. The engineer took them away until he finished the session. Too many bathroom breaks were wasting NI's time and money.

This is not boring. This is something very deep. I am from India. Yes, classical music of India is dying but it is the most powerful music I think so.

Pretty awesome discovery series. I would like a violin Indian style played lib. I love how it sounds like.

I am not from India but if it's true, it's a shame. I have never seen more unique musical knowledge. Whether about instruments, learning techniques, way of singing or musical theories. It would be a great loss for humanity IMHO.

There is a major division in Raga (melody) and Tala (rhythm), the use of many different scales which are hardly comparable with western ones and a strong connection with religious beliefs about the ways music might influence life and elevate your spirit. In fact Krishna, one of the main gods of hinduism, was a musician.
That's how far my theory goes (feel free to correct me if I am wrong).

it is coz of the micro tuning.... there are countless ragas because of this, ragas are associated with different moods n stuff, two major styles are HINDUSTANI and CARNATIC... IN my opinion indian music is not dying!! its not being popularised... and access to learn indian classical is quiet limited... you have to search a proper GURU... then it takes years of dedicated practice to jus get a hold of it!!!

Me too from INDIA.... indian classical music is not dying but learning process is very long and younger gens get discouraged by that i feel!!! and it difficult to find proper GURU to learn from... that is why its not that popular and learning material is sparse!!!! all this thing jus discourages many young talents, and they look other way....!!! but indian classical music is so awesome !!!

Hello to the boys in the East. Wow! I almost wet my pants checking this out. Amazing product design, so detailed. I really hope the sitar is well designed and even better than the one found in NI's North India product.
