    Wow, that might be something really big. Because DMG Audio knows how to handy EQ as well as Compression like a boss! As far as EQuing is concerned, FabFilter Pro Q might be the most practical and easy to use EQ, but as far as sound is concnerned, I think DMG Audio is actually better at that. I like that he has included Loudness Units for Metering as well. Because as of now, with current Multiband Comps you have to use an extra Metering plugin for that.

    I guess price will be in line with their other plugs, so $200,- max. But cool indeed!

    It's OUT !!!!

    Edit : with default settings, out of the "box", very transparent...+ 15 to 20% in CPU though (samplitude under win7 X64)....I'm gonna try it more on a few mixes.

    ReEdit : it has all the usual possibilities of dmg plugs, so many settings !! I'm dizzy. It sounds really nice and I think I will love it !

    there are some issues have been found by people, so it's buggy a bit.
    for example, one guy found clipper buggy, problems with preset saving etc.
    1.0 is raw, standard situation))

    So I played around with it for half an hour. Is it just me missing something, or do the individual bands dont have any individual controls for Attack, Release and Ratio? That's kinda odd to me. Because, of course I want the attacks from Kicks and Snare come through and its feels strange not being able to control these parameters. What's cool though, is that holding a node with the right mouse button solos the corresponding band so it's easy to split the spectrum as needed.

    @5teezo

    Read the manual (page 10 and page 20): there is a "Release" parameter, no "Attack".

    Okay, so I had a look:

    Page 18, 5.2.1 Lookahead: "The Lookahead should be considered as the “attack time” of the limiter - except that the audio is automatically delayed to ensure that no peak ever clips."

    >> So there's an overall Attack Time for the Limiter, but not for individual Bands (like in any other Multiband Comp/Limiter) it seems. So no individual control over Attack of the Bands but for the release.

    Also, I wonder why there's no Ratio Control per Band. If you grab something like an C4 or L3 you have those controls which makes sense, if you want to let more of the transients slip through. But the way this behaves, I don't quiet get it yet.

    When I tested it, it felt more like the bands being volume controls for the selected spectrum. Maybe that's good – I don't know yet. But it also felt that I am missung essential controls without the Attack and Ratios per Band. Maybe I am it using it wrong? :D

    According to Dave most multi-band limiters are not true multi-band, but just multi-band compressors fallowed by a wide-band limiter. So this one doesn't have attack controls, because it's not a compressor, it's a multi-band limiter "done right", look-ahead is a time given to analyse a signal, so it's not comparable to "attack" time in compressors, because in compressors, "attack" is how fast compressor exerts full compression based on ratio/threshold settings, that's why some compressors also have a look-ahead setting.

    Well, i spend 20 mins for tweaking and got result that i can achieve in ozone with 3 clicks. Maybe not my thing but even "cliping RC3" in ozone sounds more transparent on low frequencies than this limitless. Totally overhyped.

    Grandy, fgx is a good compressor, mastering transienter like punch and detail, and meter, but not a limiter. It gets too dirty and distorted very very early when push louder. Or vice-versa very pumpy, but again with some amount of distortions. Aggressive and evil, but not the loudest. Never liked limiter section.

    IMHO, Ozone is king. Especially with the new limiting algo in v7.
