I love the 3d sound of everything ... recorded with 3 mic on every source.
The band, a girl trio, accordion, guitar and violin and 3 vocals ;)

I thing the guitar cool use a little bit of crispy, sparkling high ends. Besides that, it sonds very pure.

I think the acoustic guitar is slightly boomy...It's definitively worth checking for some undesired resonances in the low mid area. I don't blame you, though. It's extremely hard to get a perfect acoustic guitar sound...I've been struggling with this for ages.

I'm a big fan of reverb in songs like this, when there are fewer instruments and a lot of blank space to fill. So, I think this song would benefit from a little more reverb, preferably with some wise automation applied here and there. Valhalla Plate comes to mind. I think it would sound silky smooth here.

I don't think it needs more high end. People are kind of addicted to extremely bright mixes nowadays. Most contemporary pop music hurts my ears. I think your song sounds natural the way it is.

Anyway, I love the song itself. The vocals sound sweet. I like the arrangement as well.

I like it. My only critique would be the low-mid resonances in the guitars. I wouldn't static-EQ those frequencies out though; instead, I would use a dynamic EQ, like the one from Toneboosters, to accomplish that. This would make the "cleaning up" process sound a lot more natural than a static dip. Overall, that change would enhance that "3D" effect you're feeling. But aside from that, solid mix. I am actually happy you didn't put copious amounts of reverb on it. I like the intimacy of it.

hehe, thanks and I think I will hear that a lot about the guitar, but I like the guitar this way ... maybe I can put some sparkle on it but IT works wery well this way, try to hear it on a decent loudspeaker/headphones and in the mix with everything. When mastering I can put a slight grade of treble on the whole ...

Well, the guys above made perfectly valid points.
The guitar indeed is bonky around 185 Hz, and the guitar interferes with the cello in that frequency range. Which is a pitty because the cello really is what ramps up the vibe in the chorus. So I'd turn the guitar in that frequency range down by about 3 dB. Plus, the guitar sounds a bit muffled on the high end.
I hear some beats/out of tune issues at 1:02 in the second track.

Those are very nice songs!

    Hey eboe,

Don't get me wrong, please, but when you ask for criticism, you'd better be ready to listen to at least a few advises.

I'm getting to see this a lot here...People ask for criticism and then get defensive about the critics.

If I was in your shoes, I would listen to at least the observations about the acoustic guitar low mid problem. If an issue has been observed more than a couple of times by a few different persons with different pairs of ears listening through different pairs of speakers in totally different rooms, then it most likely needs to be addressed.

Besides, if you already think your mix is perfect, then why ask for criticism in the first place? :)

By my experience, when you ask for criticism, it's more elegant to just listen and agree, even if you don't.

Again, I mean no offense. Just my two cents.

    R.

Another vote for the guitar resonance, but otherwise, lovely songwriting.

Sounds great! People here mentioned the low mid-boominess of the guitars. On one side, it's nice with a well balanced eq. On the other, that boominess is in a way what makes up the acousticness of it, and the feeling that you actually are the same room. So i say, keep it. :)
