somebody with too much time on their hands, I think. If you are using tape automation, you slow the tape down, write your "mix", then speed the tape back up. never tried anything like that with a virtual mixer. Not sure how to make it's faders dance like that.

Pretty catchy sound on hardware actually


I know you're not really asking how to do this, but in case someone's wondering it's really easy to do stuff like that if you use the DAWs grid. Certainly loses it's impact without the clicky click of the faders though.

I have to admit, it's strangely relaxing and stress relieving. Like playing with legos or something

 

If I owned or could afford a Neve designed console, I would like to think I would have better ways to use it's time...I'll use anything with Rupert's name on it. He's an audio design genius.
