Hi guys I've just got around to installing Camel Alchemy (Player) and all the expansions on my new iMac!
To save space on my drive I would like if possible? to move the entire Alchemy library to one of my external drives. Firstly is this possible? Secondly which this easy way to do this?

Yes it is posible with symbolic links, they are like aliases but far better than them.. Is like the exact same folder but instead it points to the path of the folder you want to move (just like an alias, again).. Move the folder to the external hard drive, then create the symlink from the moved folder, and copy the symlink where the folder originally should be placed.. The symlink folder has to be named exactly as the original folder name, without the symlink at the end.. If it does not work you could always put back the original folder to the original path.. Symlinks have worked for me 99% of the time, even with big steam games.. There is an installer to make symlinks from the finder, with just a right click from the services option.. the app is called SymbolicLinker, I think you could find at macupdate.. http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/10433/symboliclinker
Please be careful don't erase the original folder and always remember the original path of the folder.. I am not responsible if you end up screwing up your library.. I have symlinks with all the additional content of logic, and almost any big app or library on my mac. and it works great!

However, when a new LPX update will appear, it may report that Alchemy stuff is not installed (after symlinking it to another drive). So you will need to temporarily move stuff back, update LPX and move back to ext drive the Alchemy packs. Do you think it worth the hassle?
