You run AU on that machine - I have no vst's installed on my Mac - Only AU plugins - Obviously what daw you use is your choice - I recently tried Studio One 3 - I thought it was amazing - Have you considered Studio One 3 yourself ?

Just go to the presonus site and it will tell you all plugin formats it can use on Mac and PC.

If you're running mac osx you can't run windows vst's. You can only run AU or VST for mac which is different then windows.

If you use OSX and Studio One you can use both AU and VST but they need to be MAC version in order to work. WIndows VST will not work as pointed.
