Cool story bro. What are you, 12? Your music sucks, BTW.

Personally had interest back at version 4. Found then and especially now, there are
ways to do what Reason does through plug-in chains and routing with any modern DAW.

The copy protection scheme is just an anoyance on top of that..

I remember trying Reason a few years ago but, after getting into a tangle of virtual cables, I decided I didn't need the aggravation of silly gimmicks so I dumped it.

I'm a Reaper man myself, though Reason still gets rewired in my projects. Was looking at Logic, too.

@peterA as confusing as it is at first, the cabling system of reason is anything but a gimmick

@CricketDub yeah reason rewired is the best way to go. Pity that propellerheads are focusing so much on making it a primary daw.

    Rack Extensions have full UNDO.

AudioUnit3 runs also in a Sandbox (crash protection)

Back in the day I was looking at Reason as a toy, because it was a software with virtual instruments, until I stumbled upon Aleksander Kowalski's work, according to notes
All recordings are entirely produced with the Propellerheads Software 'Reason' (2.0). There was no additional gear involved, except for mixdown and final mastering.

Actually the cables are what I especially like about Reason. They are so much more intuitive than setting up a routing matrix...

Since I'm pretty new here people won't find it interesting to know that all of my songs are done with Reason 5. My experience is, it's so slim, starts in seconds and never (I repeat: Never!) crashed. With the cables you can do routings you would have difficulties with even in Reaper. But sure, encapsulated, as it is nowadays, it will have difficulties to compete with the progress on the open VST market.
