People also forget to think about the *amount of time" needed to successfully crack software!
The Team that cracked iLok2 for windows probably worked for months...but people see only
the final releases and have no clues about the issues & drawbacks.

I was being pretty sarcastic about the answer. Because people wan't so much and think its that easy. I may not know much about cracking but I do know it takes ages...

 

You cannot pretend from anybody a work done for you...unless you pay them and have a plan & contract.

Imagine working for months in a row trying to crack a piece of software that they probably own, and the probable happiness they feel in wanting to share it with the people FOR FREE and then, came here and read people discussing if this was a good or a bad Christmas for audio warez.
I would be very much fucked up.
You should think about it ifnyou wish any future release.

 

Maybe they should think before releasing a big ass release like the whole soundtoys bundle maybe they should think hmmm if I only release this for windows the mac users will be really upset maybe I should wait until I crack both then release them?

My opinion on this sings out like this.
AudioZ is a great place to hang out at, it's full of creative people who share good opinions on anything from software, mixing, idea swapping to composing songs. This is unique and something I appreciate.
Then we have the whole "hoarding concept". Well, for what? I mean it really doesn't do anything, if all to hoard and just harvest the crops. Nah, wasn't this self explained back in the days, like around 1993? Pardon my French but don't miss my point.

Anyhow, this year has been a good music year for me. I've been able to make lots of music and really focus on that part. Also I've had the great honor to be part of this community and have a cut of the cake, as well. This is awesome. Like I've said before. Some software companies don't have demoversions of their software or they are too limited. Like when they add hisses, noise etc. I don't like that. In my world there's no chance for me to get the full extent of the software. So yeah we're back eating a piece of the cake but not the whole cake. See what I mean

I don't think it's only an American phenomenon. I believe it has more to do with the ADHD generation that is so used to getting everything right now due to our rapidly improving technology, that when there is something they can't have RIGHT NOW they can't help but have a fit and bitch about it everywhere. Certainly not confined to America, I have seen this behaviour all over the place. Of course it's not every millenial, and the concentration of entitled sh*ts may be significantly higher in the US...
