It's not even Christmas yet, so it seems a bit greedy to salivate over potential SyncroSoft releases. This month has been one of the most outstanding avalanches of audio in many years. Isn't that good enough?

Of course Synchro can be done, but why stoke the flames?

 

OpenSSH isnt a full on iLok2 crack... And I'm just throwing it out there for discussion for the fun of it... Then again the liberty of open discussion isn't something a fella' named @Rasputin would probably encourage anyways

 

Elucidate me on the point of this thread, then.

We've been shown amazing things in the past few weeks that many doubted. SynchroSoft is plausible. Of course it would be nice. Is there anything else to add other than "I wish there was more, I wish it was now, and I wish it was on my platform of choice"?

Or course that's true. It goes without saying, really.

And for the record, I'm against undue moderation and censorship. I just don't understand the constant need for people to state their wishes for more software, especially in a context when it consists simply of "I want. Can someone make it happen?" and offers nothing productive.

I don't understand one thing.
Do you guys make music with Cubase? Or Pro Tools? With what? The stock plugins?
Jesus... I'm deadly greatful for the ilok 2 Crack, and the amazing plugins But that's what's missing with people requesting.
Most of the people here can´t "play" with the plugins.
If there were some vst instruments, i'm shure there would be much less requestings for this and that.

I'm not trying to devaluate the amazing thing it is to crack ILOK, but most of the people here don't see the actual value of those plugins.
Stop requesting. The more you request the far you are from the actual release.

 

My hypothesis on how iLok 2 was cracked is that it wasnt really cracked, they found and yanked out all the code relating to iLok then repacked the vsts. I tested a couple .dlls and the sizes were 40% smaller than my authentic ones. So for Cubase to be K'd someone would have to meticulously go through what I'm guessing to be 10 million of code and hit backspace on 4 million of them.

Seems to be the case. I think it's maybe similar to the OpenSSH situation, where some plug-ins had an incorrect implementation of iLok 2 and that was the gateway. The pattern of the releases is too weird otherwise, i.e. why would they first crack older stuff like McDSP or Duende instead of straight up releasing the stuff that everyone lusts for the most? Let's not fool ourselves, cracking software is for fun. For doing the impossible. It's a challenge. To some extent, it's a bragging contest (and I mean this in a friendly way). I think if iLok 2 was fully opened, the pattern of the releases would have been slightly different.

I could be horribly wrong, who knows what really went down. One can only speculate, it's an interesting topic regardless. The NFOs don't really reveal anything except for a mystical pixie.

 

Isn't that "cracking" too? To crack the code open and to scoop out everything ilok2 related?
If that's not qualifying for the "cracking" term then i'm wondering what cracking really is afterall.

 

Well he just worded himself incorrectly, it's more like - he doubts that the actual iLok 2 protection was broken apart/deciphered, but rather just bypassed on plug-ins that haven't correctly implemented it.

Imagine if software had a piece of code 2+2 = ? If you have the answer (4), you gain access. Instead of solving the equation, simply erase the equation from the code.

Obviously this is still cracking, but maybe not to the point where iLok 2 has been completely deciphered with a fail-proof solution. The pixie just found a way to bypass it.
