Ableton updates Live to 8.2.8!

    ok here is what they updated:

    Improvements:

    - Added support for the Ableton Improvement Program, an automatic usage and data reporting tool.
    To enable, add this line to your Options.txt file:-ImprovementProgramParticipation=On

    Bugfixes:

    - Receiving MIDI CCs on a MIDI track’s input was causing a high CPU load on OS X Lion.
    - Fixed a bug in the “Beats” warp mode which could lead to unwanted clicks in rare cases.

    not worth updating imo.

    i hope this is the last 8 version! :thumbsup:
    there is such a big wishlist with ideas for version 9 - i hope they can do at least 50% of that list.

    ableton needs to fix the monumental list of bugs they have with 8 before they move on to 9.

    Are you guys really serious about BitWig ? Never tried it myself but looks like a copy of live to me.
    On topic, this update ver should've been called 8.2.7.0.1 :bleh:

    True that. At least throw us a preset.

    Ableton 8 has been rock solid for me on my pc and mac. The only rare crashes I have ever gotten were from janky plugins.

    It crashes a lot when ASIO is engaged in different audio activities, like watching a tutorial and playing around in the DAW.

    Really? I run dual monitors and watch tutorials while I use Ableton all the time (creative X-FI). Sounds to me like it is a problem with your sound card or sound card drivers (or some other driver for that matter).

    All the same, I would love a better "zoom" instead of these little hotfixes.
