    Hi guys,

I am recording myself and a buddy playing acoustic guitar through two mics. I have two different channels when we are done (the mic facing him and the mic facing me). I have been experimenting with panning and what not and have loved the results. The end goal is to use these recordings to go over a documentary we are making of our trip to Thailand.

I guess my question is what do you think I should do with these. As of now I EQ both channels, and a touch of compression, pan to taste and have a bit of reverb on the send. What do you think I should add in this chain? Also what should I be throwing on the Master bus. I kinda feel like less is more when it comes to this kind of recording. Do any of you have any tips or tricks? Any form of reply would be greatly appreciated. Much love!

hi. if you love the recording as it is and how it is processed then it sounds good. on the master bus i recommend an eq to find resonant frequencies ( usually around 250, 540 and 2k) notch it down with a narrow q. i'd apply some lovely mild compression (klanghelm mjuc) , a limiter, and call it a day.

    those room resonances you mean.
i would maybe add a limited on the master to go sure about any unwanted peaks.

i would add any compression, to keep the "live feeling".
its hard judging without having heard the recording.

It's hard to answer this without even hearing what you have done, or have planned on doing.
Are you asking for processing techniques or mixing/mastering techniques?
