As part of our Give a Little, Get a Little holiday campaign, 100% of your purchase price will be donated to Migrant Offshore Aid Station (MOAS), a search and rescue charity that saves lives at sea in the world’s most dangerous border crossings. So far, they’ve rescued nearly 12,000 men, women and children fleeing violence and oppression. Our collective donation will go toward MOAS’ search and rescue operations.
Here’s some examples of how your gift will help:

• $22 provides one life jacket
• $55 supplies one emergency pack (life jacket, blanket, clothes, food, water)
• $165 sponsors one specialist crew member at sea for a day
• $550 feeds one full boat of beneficiaries a hot meal on a MOAS vessel

Besides its mission in the Aegean Sea, MOAS is also planning to have a presence in the Central Mediterranean Sea and the Andaman Sea in South East Asia in 2016 (Thank you people, we're expanding our business)

I don't know where the fuck ya'll from, but if you are from Europe, you should know what the fuck is going on in the Mediteranean Sea. People are fucking drowning while trying to cross the water in small boats. And EU Politicians and Italian Government cut off financial support for humanitarian and life rescue organizations that help rescue refugees from drowning.

So this is to everybody sitting at home in their warm and cozy rooms donating ZERO Dollars to get a free Plugin tha has a Retail Price of 80 $ while otheres have to flee their home putting their lives in danger:"Content Removed"

Does anyone know if installing this will mess with preexisting Sound toys 4.02 osx? OR will installing their latest management system bonk those…. (probably should just look….myself), but wondering if anyone had any issues thus far. thanks..

To be clear, I sympathise with them but I hate the pretentious "helpers" who turn it into a profession/business. And, believe me, I'm quite far from "sitting in my warm, cozy room".

That's the unfortunate REALITY of the world we live in. Contrary to popular belief, a lot of people don't have a good heart, sympathy or give a damn about what's happening to others. They only really care or take notice when situation hits them or their family directly.
People are still gonna try to rip Soundtoys for many of personal negative reasons even when we all can see what they are doing is in good faith. People whom already wish they could get the plugs or bundle for free forever, will not put money out for the cause.
While a small amount of dudes will blatantly show off their empty heart by bragging about getting the plug for free, there are probably gonna be hundreds who will do the same but won't post about it!

Shame, shame, shame!

call me a cynic...but wouldn't it be better to make things better for these people in their own country instead of bombing them mercilessly and raping these countries for all the natural resources they have...

Dude, check out what Bashar al-Assad is doing in Syria, and you might understand why people are fleeing. It's not all about ISIS or oil. These people certainly have all the legit reasons to flee that they need. We should all help them. I would, if i was not already drowning in debt.

Also, why would native Europeans be more entitled to the benefits of living in Europe than the refugees? I didn't choose to grow up in comfy Sweden.


But I'll admit that downloading this software for free makes me an asshole. But who, hanging out on Audioz isn't, anyway? On the other hand, I really was given the option of not paying, without stealing, so...is it really that bad...?

Woah, that's a false generalization right here. I don't know when that conclusion was made official that hanging out on Audioz makes everyone an asshole. There are a lot of great people here in the community helping and giving everyday for the sake of helping guys like you who may not be able to afford everything (emphasis on EVERYTHING)
Just like in real life settings with groups, communities and societies, you'll find some great, some good; some bad, some trolls and some downright shitty personalities; Audioz reflects that very well. People scattered all over the world with different backgrounds, class and views. Pretty much because of these differences, many times we can't understand each other and process why a member would think and feel this or that way until true explanation takes place. In some other situation some members are simply out of their mind and nobody can save them

As far as I could gather they started this non-profit spending their own money after seeing the EU failing to give a damn about people drowning in the Mediterranean. I was appalled by this as well, but this couple had the funds to make a difference though. They've saved over 3000 people from drowning. They employ "humanitarians, security professionals, medical staff and experienced maritime operators" to quote wikipedia, who obviously can't work for free indefinitely. They partner with MFS / Doctors Without Borders, another NGO even the most cynical asshole should at least respect. I don't get the slave trading drivel you peddle either man, you seriously think these ppl are better of dead in the ocean?
Won't point my finger at anyone grabbing these plugins for free though, as SoundToys made that an option and December is tight for me as well. It's also everyone's right to not give a fuck about these poor ppl, but dissing the ppl that do give a fuck and actually save lives, that's just low, man.

 

Shure. I wouldn't call myself an asshole in general, either, and the people uploading cracked software are really nice to the people who can't afford it. But at the same time, they are assholes to the devs. And I mean, we're all assholes sometimes, but that doesn't mean that one is a bad person.
