The title is self explanatory. I am searching for a little app that does this. I found it in a thread on this very forum many moons ago was hoping someone would remember the name of it.

 

I don't know the name of the app but if you can't find it, you can drag them into your daw, transpose them all in one go and export the stems. It's relatively quick and easy (at least on Studio One) and it lets you do some useful batch processing like Low Cutting all the wavs at once.

the little program i am referring to would allow you to batch transpose a group of files to the key of c it was a handy lil app i miss it dearly lol i just wish i could remember her name

 

was it Amazing Slow Downer? It can batch shift (I think), but not batch autodetect key & shift.

 

no not slow downer ive been scouring the net and i think if i heard the name though it would click in my brain

 

i think it would be invaluable for those trying to load user audio into omnisphere

I asked GPT and it told me to use Melodyne Studio with a Command Sequence macro to first pitch detect and normalize, and conform bpm to the desired static bpm, export multiple tracks separately. Then Wavelab Pro 11 batch processor for any further adjustments like eq, limiting, and also the usual file operations like renaming and so on. This can be done using a script for the batch processor.

Melodyne is not capable of doing full folder batches like Wavelab can, but it will get the pitch detection and adjustments more accurately.

It depends on your use case what is really the best workflow for you. I'm using Loopcloud offline and it can set everything loaded up to a selected pitch and DAW project BPM and lock to those values. I'd rather just do these operations only to audio files I have decided to use, with all of these adjustments being done by what I would hope is better algorithm in Logic, Melodyne, etc. The Wavelab 11 Pro batch processor can be set to use whatever number of processing cores you set it to.

 

@clone What version of Loopcloud you´re using? I forgot that plugin, since I had some installation issues last time

 

While simple in theory is not very simple for real for a small tool/utility.

The real problem here is the batch function, not the transposition per se.
The program should find the key and then transpose the necessary semitones up or down to reach, say, C key.
Beside the hindrance of key modulations within the same track (common issue with all key/tonality finders), this means that any file could have different intervals to correct.

I guess the solution could be as suggested in posts above, some daw or some AI tools online.
Hope you'll remember the tool that was doing this, I'm curious.
