where and when to put it? mixing stage mastering stage etc. if you could give or link any tutorials would really help appreciate any help and comments thanks

 

• Limiters - in their simplest form are just glorified compressors.
  
• Clippers - Use them whenever your hair gets too long.

I strongly recommend you take the time to watch as many episodes of "Pensado's Place", specifically his "Into The Lair" segments would probably benefit you the most. Another source for production techniques are Deadmau5 live streams. If you want to see how its done just watch a few of them. Tons of great info in both of those sources I mentioned
