I used to love it. Haven't listened to much to it lately, except for artist like Mitch Murder, Lazerhawk, etc (synthwave). Growing up with the Max Mix series played a big part.

I'm Italian, and we used to be on the world map for this kind of music (namely Italo Disco, Italo House, etc...), but nowadays the kids here just get high on drugs and listen to fag music (namely Big Room and EDM :bleh:). Fortunately, better DJs and producers out there are still making this, but it's a shame that we (Italians) gave up on this...

Got into it recently. I was sooo tired of producing Hip-Hop that I started doing synthwave stuff too. Because I always liked synths and arpeggios and big chords and I am actually a child of the 80s I thought what the heck, let me just speed this up and use more reverbs on snares ;) I also like the aesthetics. Although it's a bit shallow of a genre. But for me it's more fun to produce a dope synthwave instrumental than a beat with not much going on.

Yes – the drum sounds are cool, the sequenced grooves are infectious, and the cars look really cool.

yeah its a good sounding genre, if you speed it up to 140bpm it becomes uplifting trance and psy :disco:
