What about Watermarking? Have you guys found a way to actually hear it?

    Absolutely, as I said in my opening sentence the watermarks in Kontakt libraries have to do with the containers.. it's embedded but not merged with the sound. And it's going to be marked with the customer name and other info they provided when making an account or purchase. If a purchase is made with a prepaid Visa and false info the customer wouldn't have to remove anything as a precaution before sharing it. As far as the way I do it.. it is mixed down into the actual song.. it is not a spoken name, but an actual written and readable name in the form of audio.. thus it looks like a company logo, but sounds like digital noise if the watermark itself is amplified x100 and played back. The thing is that it's rendered in the mixdown at a signal level lower than 24bit dithering and it is not audible to the human ear.. yet I can still open the 3D analyzer, set the degrees, zoom way in and read "dbMuzikOrg" or any watermark I create right within the clouds of the sound spectrum.

    Well, the more i read on the subject and the more i think you're mistaken. And by the way, what you are doing is called an argument of authority and does not prove anything. No proof, no references, no nothing. Sorry but that's true. If you have concrete intel on the subject, i'd more than happy to read it.
    But closing a discussion by a mere sentence does not do the trick. No hard feelings.. :winker: Same goes for the original answer...

    I see that Exhale is released. I wanted to buy it. I'm going to do just that and compare if i can. Both Container AND Sounds...

    what is the main concern of watermarking? you just have to walk in the shoes of a dev/company.
    true to find out who leaked the stuff, nobody cares, who uses the stuff int he end, because nothing in the sample world is really a true build from the fundamentals. (unless we talking about Kontakt, soundsets, but the argument is still the same, who leaked the stuff and can i ID him and maybe find a way to punish him? - no future updates or maybe get him to the court ... anyway to scare people and to prevent my products from getting leaked, because no leaks mean money for me, because the buyers have a desire to get my products)

    i thought this was obvious to everybody.
    the really deep watermarking, which is used for Movies to trace, from where the cinema groups got the photage or the audio for a movie is really expensive, its out of reach for almost all sample companies.

    Watermarks in kontakt libraries are not in the samples, only in the instrument data files.
