I am confused, first the update link shared here it is like 300mb and I have found some other links of just 30mb.. Also everybody is talking about patching and keygen but there were no keygen when I installed Omnisphere, just the au and vst cracked.. So now I realized that everyone is talking about the windows keygen.. Now Im more confused.. Im afraid to ruin my 2.0.3 version..

 

2.0.3 used to take about 10-15 secs to load but now around 3 secs, also the fact that I have the vst on an SSD and the library on another SSD probably has something to do with it.

 

It was ridiculously slow on 2.0.3. Version 2.1 loads in about 4-5 seconds on my HDD. Acceptable for a powerful software.. I guess?

Some of the rar files you find on the internet are very compressed, and a 100MB .RAR could end up being around 300MB extracted. That said, 30MB seems too small. You need an update for the software (~30MB Windows, ~59mbMAC) and an update for the patch library which is around ~240MB... (probably)

 

Working fine here, loads very fast too.. some great fixes and improvements.

With loading time 10-15 secs and now 3 you mean the time when insert this plugin and how long it takes to open up / loads to work with it, right? Like open from scratch. Well I can say it never took 10-15 seconds with my normal WD HDD but also it didn't took 3 seconds. But all I can say it is still slower than omnisphere 1.58... Hmmmm

 

Trying to Patch with the keygen on MAC with wine... I click patch but it takes me to this file directory and i'm unsur ewhere to find the right file to patch? Unable to find the audio/plugins/ folder either. would appreciate some help

 

From the time I Double click it in the browser of Studio One, till the GUI pops up. It is slower than 1.58 but then again the .dll is about twice as big.

 

this is the full path where vst plugins are installed by default: yourHD/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/.
to get to Omnisphere.vst/Contents/MacOS/Omnisphere you need to right click on Omnisphere.vst, "Show Package Contents", then right click on the file, "Get Info", change the permissions and then patch this file.

 

plz plz plz can someone post a link to the keygen and patcher?? Im stuck here on a mac... would most appreciate it!

Ok I finally get it how to install on Mac.. First I did not know anything about the keygen, I have never downloaded it because I downloaded the hexwars version of omnisphere that was already patched.. The link provided here did not included the keygen only the update.. So i found a torrent of omnisphere r2r release and downloaded just the keygen.. First you have to install the data update and the software update, then open the keygen and patch the vst and AU.. IF you have not permissions to write on the files copy and paste the au and vst to another folder, or a folder that could be easy to find trough the keygen, then patch them an replace them to the original folder library/audio/plugins folder... then open omnisphere and activate it by copying the code omnisphere gives you to the keygen or the native mac keygen provided by hexwars. And it is done!! I think the main problem is to figure out how to use all the elements that are found separated.. Could be great to have a post with the keygen and activation and the updates in the same rar.. If you can not find the au and vst folder trough the keygen because, try to click the back icon to navigate to a directory that you could recognise and find your macintosh HD trough the keygen file explorer.. A useful app to open .exe keygen on mac is "keygen APP" it is easier to open .exe than wineskin, you just open the keygen with the app and it is ready to use...

Now the only question I have is If omnisphere could be used in pro tools?...

hmm ok i didn't watched for the size but anyway. it is a great tool. and the 2.1 update is of course a step forward. when also not that big one for me and my config / machine. but its greet. for me it takes about ~5 +- seconds

Does anyone have an issue with 2.1.d when trying to import .omnisphere packs? For me it comes up with the copyright warning, but never comes up with the box that lets me navigate to choose a .omnisphere file.
It might be a shortcut issue, as I have the omni library installed on another drive?

From memory, it worked fine with the old 2.0.3 version.

edit - tried moving the STEAM folder and omni prompted me for the new STEAM folder (as expected) and although the patch browser works fine, I still can't get the .omnisphere import function to work.
