Hi, just updated to the latest version of El Capitan that came out wednesday and i tried to install studio one 3.1 but after installing i cant get the program to even start to register it.
the program icon on the dock has a dot blinking below it but no window pops up, no nothing

anybody else on the latest El Capitan with same problem?

checked the permissions of the bin ?

 

hi, how do you mean, i rightclicked and and checked "show info", should i add something there? i added admin tp the bin "read n write" but still i get the icon on the dock just flashing a light an nothing shows up..

 

For starters, get this app [http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/31741/permissions-reset] drag your non responsive app (while closed) in Permissions Reset's window and hit reset button. See if that helps.

 

hi again, thanks but it seems that there is a problem with el capitan and accounts/passwords. when clean installing osx can suddenly forget your password and ask for a new password and somehow fuckup your account when it comes to permissions. i remember that happened to me and after that neither live or s13 would be able to install. i did a clean reinstall and all fixed, this time i had no problems login in and no problem installing the programs

 

OS X CAN'T forget passwords. That's for sure. Keep trying.

 

as i said, its fixed now.
dont say "cant" when it comes to computers and os. yes, there are known issues with new installs where capitan will keep asking you for a password even if you put in the right one.
