i have a question
i purchased a used maschine and i tried to activate it but the NI don't want to as the serial is registered under another name
so what shall i do

Contact the one who sell machine to you and ask him/her to transfer the
license to you (if NI agree and the license is legit, of course)

as i did but he left the country
and i contacted NI but no reply since 2 days

what is the deference between a legit licence and a cracked one

 

the software has been cracked.. but NI won't auth your hardware to operate without the license... If I have read correctly
on this topic.. when I was considering getting a used maschine..

probably you should have studied up on the problems buying a used maschine...before giving this guy your $$$

The licence you bought (registered to another one user) is not "legit" because it has not been transfered to you so, probably (99,99%), you can't get a solution to you problem (*) 'cause you are not a NI registered Maschine user. I suppose the warez way it's the only possible to you.

(*) I was meaninig the activation procedure...

i just installed a cracked maschine and its working with me
now after reading the replays am a little confused
Herr Durr says it wont work with the hardware
and its working with me

 

Yep, the hardware doesn't need authorizing, and works just fine with the k'd software.

 

You'll have to go cracked software bro...afraid there is likely no other choice

 

why NI is so hard
i mean if u have the hardware then the software should work as u already have the unit with its serial number which means that your the owner of it
the way they deal with it will make the second hand units a hard to sell if u want to upgrade your equipment

could be to avoid when people make a mistake in entering the serial that it will unregister it from some user and might have something to do with theft

 

yes it may work with the cracked software as the hardware is not a dongle for the software,
so I have been told... from what I read before.. trying go legit with it was the issue...

great you got it working for you , maybe I'll look into it again as well...

I'm no maschine expert, so if anyone is down with how to get a used maschine w/o the license
to work.. I'm all ears...

am using the maschine mk1 with the cracked latest maschine and it works like a charm

i contacted the maschine seller and he requested a serial transfer to my account from NI since 2 days but NI didn't contact nether one of us
they're very slow in there support section

When you buy a used Maschine controller the previous owner should have removed the license from there user account and service centre so the license can be transferred to you . I've done it when I sold my first mk1 controller as when I got the new one it can with new software . It does take a few days to sort out but ni don't contact the previous owner he has to remove the license himself by contacting ni to sort it . You should get on his case to sort it out
