The What And Why Of DrumTROOP

Buying sound kits is cool, putting them together can be a nightmare though - and unless you build out 100's each time you get sick of your libraries quick, and it's back to buying more … Samplers, romplers, spanning, setting up octaves, ADSR per sound, etc. can be time consuming and I’M WILLING TO BET that YOU have a ton of samples on your harddrives, but you don’t use them all nearly as much as you thought you would… mostly because of the above, amirite?

That’s why romplers and presets and expansion kits are so popular again now.

Producers and engineers know how to tweak a kit just right so it ‘goes together’, saving you a lot of time - just get creative and publish it into a potential hit or cool track, no tweaking needed (or minimal at most).

Content/kits are also cheap now however good talent and a good ear is never going to be automated or replaced by quantity/dilution.

DrumTROOP is just that - A straight out of the box weapon of mass production – No fussing around with too many on board options (though some options are there)… These Kits have been meticulously crafted into their respective genre/sub-genre, then laid out in an intuitive low cpu hit drum machine/key station. We do give you the .wav files on most expansions too though so if you do want to import into your existing samplers you're good to go.

We utilize all 128 keys or 10 octaves in each kit.

16 outputs – one for each pad and the last three divide the keys into three spannable sections on our main template (you get three different setups which I’ll get into in a minute).

Your daw takes control of fx/parameters per output/sound vs having onboard bloatware.

We give you quick fine tuning controls, pitch, poly, legato, mono, and each pad comes with quick on-board volume, pan, attack, and release treatments.

Also comes with a quick LFO tool to help shape or pan some of your sounds.

But... .... the greatest part is DrumTROOP is FREE and comes loaded with a great set of foundational soundsets.

We hope to make our money on offering amazing expansion kits - which are affordable and equally as creative, professional, and meticuslously cherry picked from our library - or made right in our studio’s as we get the idea (we just finished the Tribal Warfare kit and it sounds amazing).

YOU are going to spend less time searching through your library for that perfect unused kick/snare combo or kit collection, and more time doing what you were supposed to do when you got that inspirational idea, you know - make actual music - vs just tinker with more knobs and folders - and lose your idea - again... . . or get creatively drained before you even lay two layers of drum patterns.

While it’s made for that true authentic Urban sound stretching from the 1990’s golden Hip Hop, R&B, Tribal House, and techno era's to todays trap, grime, future, dub… the drum sounds themselves are what we focused on most, clean crisp and loud – ready to create ANY genre you set your patterns and creativity to.

And yes, they did make some ejay type daw, but i wouldnt call it a daw, very limited and flash based if i remember. Now they have hired dev team to work on v4 that will be full daw.
