So what stuff is worth trying out that doesn't require an iLok2 or such, and isn't crippled?

I'm talking about things that aren't already "out in the wild", of course.

Name your top picks for stuff you'd like more than 14 days of use from.

Hi Rasputin, I'm not sure to understand what are you looking for:
Stuff that is already like this (you can try it for a long period and is fully featured)?
Or a list of what we wish it 'd be possible to try without a dongle?

Yeah, I'm familiar with that already, but thanks for the response regardless. That's the kind of thing I was going for.

Reaper would be in the same vein, but it's just a nag and never disables itself.

I was just looking for stuff worth fiddling with that is legit and isn't bound to iLok (because I refuse on principle) and nothing annoyingly crippled like not being able to save the output or has test tones appear randomly, etc.

Melda and they also have an eternal madness discount http://www.meldaproduction.com/download.php

You can have Ableton Live for 30 days, then call them and say you are working on a project and they will extend your trial period for another 30 days.

    Massey Plugins!!! :like:
"Our demos never expire & never beep or mute. Use them as long as you like! "

Very nice plugins by the way. I like their L2007 Mastering Limiter, and CT5 compressor.

This a true try before you buy and they deserve support:thumbsup:

Hi Rasputin, some times ago i've tried the VTMC-M2 Vintage compressor and the BRTC-M2 Round Tube Compressor from CDSoundMaster (they're fully functionnal for a few days in demo), and they are really great sounding compressors!

PS this is my first message in the forum, i've been reading a lot of interesting and/or helpful posts since several weeks, so..glad to be here, and cheers to everybody!

They do say they're mono, but I've tested them in Live, (Bridged from 32 bit to 64) and they're definitely stereo

Hi Stef, nice to meet you.

I was under the impression that all the Massey stuff that was VST was yanked and they're only AAX/RTAS now. Is that incorrect?

I've been using Massey Plugins for quite some time. The only plug with limited features is DRT v.2. The other ones has full functions but you can't save presets, as far as I can remember.

Not correct. They come in AU, VST, and AAX.

I am surprised to hear that. I never tried installing AU/VST demo, so I thought it would be demo in all formats.
