    Horrible, horrible!
After iZotope's wrong move with adopting that crappy "trendy" look with boring scroll-down page,
also LinPlug have made a crappy new site. Worst of all is that the pages don't show up as whole pages
but cropped - at least on computers with a "normal" screen display resolution.

I really welcome & like bright pages because they are good on the eyes.
AudioZ, AudioSex, Vstclub and others with their dark backgrounds are really wearisome on my eyes!
What's happening? Where are all the fantastic web-designers nowadays?

I actually prefer a simple design for sites I don't visit frequently (like shops, etc.). You see their stuff and can click on one thing to get more information. But you are right, the design doesn't seem to handle smaller screens very well, but works fine for me (24" monitor).
What's bugging me here is that if you click on something on the frontpage you can't click on you browsers "back" button (I use the side button on my mouse) to get back to the overview.

even dumber is the fact that they are currently selling a bunch of their older plugins for $19.99 each but there is no mention of it on the page and absolutely no way that i can find to purchase them. now that's bad web design.

When we start to express opinions first its good to considerer thats a cultural thing, also a hardware thing (if you use little screens like phones) and physical thing (for example: bright things huts my eyes because I have to use large amounts for corticoids).
The only thing I do not like from them is CRX4, the shit is still on and growing!

i actually tend to find the dark web pages easier on the eyes... but yeah their page isn't great though (but it loads better on my mac than yours - i get no overlap with the links and the slogan)

Maybe I'll buy one of their plugins just so that they can afford to hire a real web designer who understands css3 fluid layout. Oh... hang on... I already have all of their plugins. Bummer. There goes another brilliant idea. :(

I'm sorry mate, but you should start a site called "The World according to Kookaboo"

There's nothing but complaints from your side. Where is your work, so we can take a good look at it?

    Again:
Where is your work, so we can take a good look at it?

We all know by now that you are the best when it comes to criticize.
But can you take criticism? Are you any good at it?
We are going to be judge by the way we judge others, isn't that right?

Lass es loss! Let it go!

We're all friends here! Hate is not something we want in our hearts. It distracts us from being our best.

@The Dude: Critisizm is not being hostile. And i agreewith him when he says brighter sites are more easy for the eyes than dark sites. And why do you critisize him when you say he should not critisize :)) paradox. Let him say his opinion. Everyone have his own opinion to everything. He doesn't insult anyone.

The site is not displaying properly for me on Firefox, the tops and bottoms of pages seems to be chopped off.

i love spectral etc., but this website does not do them any favors. it looks as if they got a mate to do it for a tenner. considering how good the quality of their product tends to be they owe it to themselves to get something that is a little more up to html 5 standard ( this site looks awful in firefox and opera). and, where is the link to the sale of their older stuff like octopus?
i reckon they have done it themselves to save some dosh.
i would redesign it for them in return for a copy of spectral : )

    .. just joking..

    os am i?

I see nothing wrong with it either... BORING is when EVERYTHING looks the same.
It's not the world according to you... it's MY world and you just happen to be living in it.

Ive got to admit on my screen the page looks good. All in one piece. Also i was actually on the old linplug site recently looking for spectral and i thought it was messy. This is everything in one place, easy to see and navigate.

Critics are not complains. Now the boomerang comes back to you: You complain about my critics. :hillbilly:
YOU see hate where's none. To criticize a site, products or products design has nothing to do with hate.

From the point of view of an interested customer I'd simply expect a good site design which works fine
on all kind of browsers! Many developers do underestimate the power of design, appearance!

    Dear Cook,

Horrible, crappy, trendy, boring, are strong words. But these are no reasons.
They are much more your personal opinions.
I've visited the site. It's simple and clear but far from being the words you describe.

By reading some of your threads I have to ask myself: what is your purpose?
You are not helping anyone who's interested in better anything, because you give no reason.
You give no information, just personal opinions. You don't add anything to the discussion.
What's the size of your "normal" monitor?

People who work many hours in front of, sometimes two monitors, prefer darker backgrounds:
"I really welcome & like bright pages because they are good on the eyes"
Is not the reason for such.

"From the point of view of an interested customer...we expect..."
Seriously bro, you're gonna have to work harder on that one...

A musician, friend of mine used to say: People have freewill, and still, choose to do shit.
It's very true. I took it with humor and therefore I usually ask myself what kind of shit I will be doing today...

Which brings me back to the question: What's the purpose for this?
Can you accept "opinions" from your work the same way you do to others?
I'm not your enemy but I find you insult people the way you express yours.

Everybody is free to express their opinions.
In my personal opinion, this is trash talk. Pointless.
But if you must open threads like these to express your opinions about other sites, developers, forums, products,
the work of others but your own, who am I to criticize?

Poor us readers who are seeking for something more interesting.

    Sometimes less is better.:chilling:

it's a simplistic and dynamic one-page website approach displaying every of their current products right on the frontpage with a clear navigation. You don't know shit about design, usability and marketing if you can't respect that!
