hi guys, how are you? I got another hackintosh 1 week ago. I tried all the new plugins cracked by openshh, wich works very good.

Finally got the Sonnox Dynamics at 64 bit and also the Softube CL one of my favourite compressor. I find Altiverb 7 so good that also though to buy it for Windows but i notice that atleast for now the price for the full bundle is out of my range (something like 900€). I notice that V6 for Windows is still in the sister site.

So i wanna ask everyone if Altiverb 6 is good as version 7?? Do you think it that reverbs are nice as in the newer version?? thanks in advance

That is a good question, I haven't personally checked the content of V7 yet.
Well, for most productions, I'd say v6 is fine, only problem is with x64 incompatibility.
The Stage & Posiition has been improved - but for positioning, it might be better to use Altiverb together with VSS2 Pro.

Main thing are the new IR.
Everything else is not a revolution.
So it is up to you to know if the new IRs (compatible with v7 only ) are worth it.
To me, it is not so obvious

And about stage/Position, i tested all presets and found Vienna Konzerthaus Mozart AND/OR Large Hall to be the most accurate...because it seems they used them to create algos (it is the picture with speakers on scene).

A lot of ppl used "Todd AO scoring stage" and it was a BIG mistake : they are VERY bad.
That's why ppl talk about EQ, settings...bla bla bla...

Use Vienna Konzerthaus Mozart AND/OR Large Hall with Stage/Position and you will not need any third party impulse position :mates:
And doing so, v6 is enough.

The problem I see with stage/position feature is that it doesn't accurately reproduce stereo width. Using Altiverb together with VSS2 solve this issue. By using VSS2 for Early reflections and Altiverb for Direct coloration and Tail, it's possible to create realistic rendition of acoustic space.

Todd-AO space wasn't even recorded by AudioEase.
They just added it to their library without even checking it. I agree, it's bad.

Thanks for the replays guys. I'll try v6 and library anyway and see if it's good like v7.

I use v6 and created a 64 bit jBridge version. Works perfectly in Cubase Pro 8 and don't feel like i'm missing out not having v7.

Yes. Altiverb 6 is only 32 bit. But DAWs nowadays (like Cubase and FL Studio etc) have a built in plugin bridge.

not all daws, i'm currently using Studio One and i don't wanna use Jbridge. As for Lexicon stuff i'm not gonna use this one either.
