I must differ, here. Our spiritual degradation is indicated in the term "that being said," or "having said that," or "that said," or "having said that which was said when I said what was it that I said when I said that." Jeez, man – I know what you just said when you said that which was said when you were having said it; can't you make a transition with, "so," (which, by the way, comes after a pause, at the beginning of a phrase; not at the end of a phrase, before a pause), or, "therefore," or, "as a result," or, "consequently?" Erosion of our divine essence also shows, however, in the phrase, "going forward," used instead of "from now on," "henceforth," or "in the future."

This insidious semantic evil is propagated by passive-aggressive, effeminate corporate types on the level of the office environment where they have meetings to discuss meetings to be held later; where the term "out of pocket" is misused for "out of the office," not meaning "from one's own expenses;" where a manager walks 15 feet across the room to ask a clerk if he or she had gotten an e-mail that the former had sent, and then discusses the contents of the e-mail, and then requests that the latter send what he or she had said in an e-mail reply, with a cc: to the manager's manager; where employees aren't hired, they're "onboarded;" where mangled jargon is compulsively slung in order to create the illusion of one's knowing what one is talking about even though the words have been leached of sense-making by their misuse and disfigurement; they signal one's complicity in the Devil's agenda of corporate doublethink and mundane treachery.

"Fuck" ain't so bad – just really, really over-used. I'm fucking tired of it, myself.

Words are funny people as a whole. So many times I have heard words say, "Hey, you not only used me out of context but have changed my intended meaning, obscuring my very nature and the very essence of my raison d'vivre."
