    Hi to everybody.

I'm using guitar rig pro 5 5.0.2 (by team assign I think) on a PC.
Everything works great except for products presets, like rammfire, reflektor and all the other stuff, I can only see the factory presets in standalone and vst mode.
Does anybody know if there's an update that can fix this? Otherwise, I thought that I could save all the presets using guitar rig inside Maschine, which lets me see them thanks to the update released for it. But I'm not sure about that, because I'm afraid that Maschine will save them with his extension and not the one used by guitar rig.
Any help would be appreciated, have a good day :)

    come on!!!
just enjoy what you have, make your own presets.
    abundance ruins your inspiration.
    Take care

Offtopic, just wanted to rant that I have been disappointed by Guitar Rig, with each new version it gets more useless. I remember using the version 2 and it had some kick ass high gain possibilities, presets were awesome, things started going downhill with version 3 as the scope of presets started to reduce.

Right now I have almost all the major and minor amp simulators installed but I never end up using Guitar Rig, Revalver, Line6 or Vandal. Amplitube on rare occasions. Mostly I find what I am after (a realistic tone) using amp sims by Kuassa (higain, midrange), Softube (higain, midrange), TH2 (clean to higain) and Studio Devil (everything). Presets are important as they demonstrate full potential of the program and I primarily rely on them instead of creating my own from scratch.

    Rant off.

I use everything mentioned above .. but I switch off the cabs and I use Red Wire Impulses instead. You can find them on here.

If you want to go a step further, use a DI box like the Radial JD1 and upgrade your instrument/XLR cables.

This thread is abound sound quality. The general consensus is that a DI box will add something quality wise before you go into your audio interface via XLR. Ditto the quality of instrument/XLR cable, audio interface converters, guitar pick-ups, strings etc, etc.

    more off topic, i guess...

I also use an outboard "tube" preamp/DI, and compressor before my soundcard.

    +1 for revalver!
not only do I not use the included ir cab sims, I turn em off completely. For cabinet emulation, I chain Recab after the amp sims. Also, if Im double tracking the guitars, another goodie is brainworx shredspread...

You need to do some research as this is a hot topic :)

For example, they recommend Lava Soar Instrument Cable/Gepco X-Band XLR or TRS Cable in this discussion

    Don't rush your decision
