Keep Practicing, ! When i was youre age all we had was a 4-track cassette recorder and 1 reverb module,No Computer, and lots of talent, Hell way better then now, being over 40yrs old .
You kids dont realize the technology we have now, You should be recording some killer music with youre youth fresh minds, But Seriosly youre on the right track, Keep Expeirmenting/Jamming Rock on. Cheers

yeah for sure, we are always trying to improve, we really wont to go somewhere with our music someday
yeah its amazing how technology has evolved, like take a look at this video with herbi handcock and quicy jones http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n6QsusDS_8A it amazes me how they made such crazy music, and how that room of hardware, can be now cared around on a laptop, through vst's n' stuff
thanks for the feedback, its good to know we are on the right track.

For a first attempt, I like what I'm hearing...especially the sounds being used. You seem to understand what tones work for the kind of music you are playing. Listen to some of your favorite artists over and over with a conscious sense of song structure and how they build upon a theme. I say this because your second offering "Dream Big" almost sounds like three different songs pasted together instead of a coherent whole.

Four track and hardware reverbs...Yeah, I'm from that era too! In fact, our first reverb was that cheap Radio Shack one that has been emulated and recently posted here at Audioz. Prior to that, we stuck our mics in a metal trash can and sang into that for "true, natural reverb." Suffice it to say, I'll never criticize anyone's production techniques!

    Finally...

Use whatever font and size you feel like using!

thanks man, for really taking the time to listen to our tracks, yeah we have been really listing to a lot of music even some classical stuff lol, because we are really trying to learn proper song structure and progression, we don't want our beats to sound to static and the same all the way through, we are working on better transitions and doing like that tempo map kinda stuff, so the tempo of the beat changes up through out the song as like what happens when u hear songs live and stuff like that

dont just concentrate on making beats though download some mixing and mastering tutorials learn how to recored rite because you can make beats all day and they mite be put together/produced ok but if they sound sonically like crap then they are worthless to any artist rapper/singer *yes*

thanks for the advice, i will diffidently look those up, is there any that you recommend? but we also need to invest in a good audio interface too because my laptop sound card cant handle the workload, i can barley mix the beats we make, and load up plugins for eq and compression and all dat other stuff, is there any that you or anybody on this site would recommend
sorry if i am asking these questions in the wrong section, i am new here, could someone point me in the right direction to where i should be asking this kind of stuff

    1. Don't type in caps, its offensive to 90% of us... irritates the ever loving HELL out of me personally.

    2. Don't post 1/4 finished songs and call them works in progress.. try to finish it... at least in length, then post.

    3. Don't make 'beats' write songs.

    4. They are both pretty basic, nothing special but I think your headed in the right direction, musically, for todays music.

    5. Advice is only beneficial if you heed it.

    6. Keep at it Young bloods.. as with anything.. the more you put into it, the more you will get out of it.

    Rock on!

again i apologize for using caps, im new hear i didnt know :dunno: , thanks for letting me know, now i know what to do for the next time
yeah i understand what you are saying, we just wanted some feedback on what we have done so far before we go all the way and try to complete the track,
good to know we are at least going in the right direction
and yes we try too take in all the advice we can get, sorry if any my responses to the advice came off as rude in any way, i dont mean it to like that, and i try to respond as respectfully as possible.
thanks for taking the time to look at our tracks, and we will keep at it for sure

I was 16 two years ago :mates: !!!

It was hard for me to find time to do this stuff back then, but I've been graduated for like 2-3 months and I tell you man, I've almost learnt just as much as I have in this short time than those two years from 16-18. Nowadays I can work at this stuff 8-12 hours a day, and I still feel like I don't have enough time before Uni/College starts.

So don't be let down if time and school is an issue, you'll learn most of your stuff in the school breaks and on saturdays (if you can fit it in, I couldn't). I had church on sundays :( If you really want it, well...I used to just listen and analyze songs and try to write and stuff during lunch and on the train or whatnot.

SO gl bro I been there, and am still going !
