Because Cat's post said "contributors", i.e. people who give some time and effort to improve the community. Not people who sign up specifically to ask for a freebie.

Ok, so it was deleted because I just found the site? Seems a bit odd to do. Not taking it personally, just seems like a negative way to treat someone thats new. Could have actually explained that instead of deleting it.

 

I'll drop one off later today.

I did explain when I first responded. Left my post up for quite a while and then when I was pretty sure that everyone had seen it, I deleted it to not junk up the thread. It's not any more odd than new members posting in a thread called Uploaded.net Giveaway For Contributors In Need which is obviously intended for members that have contributed to the site since, after all, it does say so in the title. It got annoying when there were more members whose first post is asking for a coupon than contributors so I had to clean things up so I could actually make sense of who should get one. Kind of presumptuous if you ask me, especially in light of the fact that the word contributor and helpful was mentioned a bunch of times throughout this thread. Yet every single time I have this giveaway there will undoubtedly be a ton of people making accounts and ignoring all these signs for the express purpose of snagging a coupon. Now you want to chew me out for your inability to read? Seems to be a negative way to treat a forum.
