    Catalyst said that some members ask why their status is a Newbie, while on the old board it was higher. The reason for that is that i've changed the way members go up the title ladder:
    Before it was based on comments, which is not very fair;
    Now it's based on likes you received:

    I think this is a good change. quality > quantity
    (and I never liked that people have like 200000 forum posts and a hight title and seem important even though 99% of their posts are total bull... :bleh: not especially relevant in this forum but in many other and especially bigger ones)

    I feel that all positive ratings should be included into the count, not only likes.

    Or maybe only the likes are counted as positive ratings because people tend to use them the most often and... i think that's pretty resonable.

    lets just hope people dont abuse the negative ratings. I've seen that happen alot on other forums, people inentionally rate others down...

    i'm not too worried about starting the ladder again
    to me its more about helping users or at least trying to help them when i can.

    The upgraded looks great and happy to be apart of this cool forum,

    If so...It's not the end of the world but...Seems a little unappreciative to the folks that have been here from the start, posting, helping, or just being part of helping to build the community

    Yes and No. Content and posts are still there, but all old likes were deleted and replaced by the new system which determines your forum status/rank. Post count is still shown but less relevant.

    I don't mind the new re-start, it gives me chance to re-evaluate myself and correct any misgivings i have done in the past, plus it also gives us a chance to relive the good parts all again. :dancing:
