So I stumbled across this thing, and the idea behind it is really neat. If you're unfamiliar, check out: http://k-devices.com/products/ext/

It's on the darkside but if it worked properly I would have happily bought it for the humble five dollar euro price tag. Problem is, it's not saving parameter changes. When I load a project with this device, the parameter I selected is no longer mapped, and the step sequencer loads a random configuration instead of the one I designated.

The only workaround is to save your work as a preset and load it each time you open the project... which is kind of impractical.

Wondering whether anyone has encountered this problem or knows of an alternative. Im on Win 7 x64. I am using a somewhat outdated version of Max (6.19) but this thing was around before Max 7 I believe.

I see a lot of whining in audio communities about much pettier inconveniences. Besides that, my post was to ask if the problem occurs on other people's systems, and to see if an alterative exists - not begging for help. Accordingly, I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around your need to act like a condescending douche.

Thanks for your input. I guess it's the device itself then. Shame for such a cool idea.

Much of its functionality can be replicated by using the Push, but the 'smooth' parameter and envelopes really introduced some nice flexibility

Right, so it works with Push. What does that have to do with what I said? I sure hope English isn't your first language.

    @fraifikmushi

yep i see that but did you notice he has a workaround solution but doesn't want to implement it
or did you miss that part, or i may be completely wrong either way i thought i would try my best and mention the manual.

Anyway i see you are helping him lol

Also i notice no further development for the application has happened since 2014, so if it is a bug chances are it has never been reported or it cant be fixed.

Like, people with basic reading comprehension skills?

    Let's do some paraphrasing.
I say: Push can basically do what this thing does, minus one or two parameters.
You say: Look! I found the manual!
I say: Okay, but do you understand English?
    You say: Lol you stupid.

Looks like I've met my match. At any rate, no sense continuing to argue with someone who's clearly not even reading the same conversation. I'm done now, you can have the last word if you want it.

I guess i started the conversation the wrong way with "Somebody please give this guy a box of tissues"
Good luck with your app  maybe a letter to the developer might be the best way to solve the issues, but as i stated above no further development since 2014 so who knows but i'm sure you knew all that, either way good luck.

Oh wow. I guess the fact I didn't think to look for a changelog speaks to my inexperience. That was nice of you. Appreciate that, bro.
