    Most notably the songs @ 1:16 (my guess is C), 2:27 (my guess is C again), 5:51 ( C again?) And 6:43 (D?)

    Any help is appreciated!

Just typed in a bit of an analysis only to loose it all :/ *sigh* Gimme a minute while I do it again xD

    EDIT:
Okay, round two. Typed it notepad first to make sure I still had everything if something went wrong xD Anyway, on we go!

@ 1:16 I'm not too sure about this one. It sounds like it's rooted on C. Maybe some type of gypsy scale or something. It then modulates and then goes back to C something. Then it modulates some more. I'd have to really sit down and take my time with this one. If no one else chimes in in about a day or so, I'll gladly look further into it.
    @ 2:27 Sounds like C minor / Eb major.
@ 5:51 Sounds like E Dorian (6th degree raised a 1/2 step). Around 6:12 it goes to an Eb minor chord and then to a G minor chord then back to an E minor chord. Then that happens again and it loops.
@ 6:43 I think this could either be E Phrygian (2nd degree lowered a 1/2 step) or A minor. Around 6:59 it sounds like it modulates to F major. Then it loops around 7:17.

This is just a quick analysis, so it may note be 100% accurate.

Wow I'm surprised at a couple using exotic scales. I'm ignorant to music theory. But I was curious of these particular tunes because the composer (Rob Hubbard) is one of, if not all time, my favorite composers.

I'm having a bit more of an in-depth look at the first song you listed (the one @ 1:16) and it's looking more like F Phrygian (remember, 2nd degree, G, lowered a 1/2 step to Gb) instead of some gypsy scale xD. Anyway, then we have a short modulation up to Ab Phrygian. After that, we repeat that whole thing again and then modulate to C Phrygian. After that is all over we modulate to A minor and then to F minor. Yup, F minor instead of Phrygian. It goes on and on! Lot's of modulations. It keeps the music fresh and interesting, I'd say.

Man, I'm really glad you asked for assistance in figuring out the key to these songs. I really like them. It's quite interesting how composers of the 8-bt/Chiptune days were able to overcome the limitations of the hardware and come up with some fantastic music!

Haha no, thank you! I was really just trying to get a feel as to what tendencies Hubbard had when composing. Yes, it is IMO very special music and a very special era in history.

What amazes me is how much soul was still in his music...I'm 99.9% positive he played all the parts on keys then scored them before translating to hex. But still awe inspiring nonetheless.

    He really is.

Martin Galway and Ben Daglish are right there with them too! Daglish work on Ark Pandora was super!
