Hello there, I recently bought Vienna Ensemble Pro 5, it comes with 3 licenses,

Each license is installed in a different elicenser KEY

Is it legal to sell one of them, two slave computer it is already enough no need for a third?

Legal? Probably not. Typically Transfer, Resale, or otherwise giving away a license is against your legal agreement in Terms of Service/Use/End User Agreement.

Will they prosecute you? No way.

Will they cancel your licenses if they find out? Probably.

Most Importantly: Chances of them finding out without any info? Zilch, Zero, Nada.



So safe to say as long as you keep any of your identifying info away from prying eyes, your safe.

Id use one!

 

Yep deffo *no* The 3 licenses for setting up multi computer network bound to one user I think but not 100%.

If in doubt best to check by emailing them coz it deffo not worth getting your licences revoked etc

 

You can not sell the other licences ....you need all licence !!
Its not legal to sell one of them , and wen you sell them you need to give all the 3 licences to !!!

If you not have this 3 licences in your account , is not posible to download and instal the libraries .

 

Are you sure you'll never need the 3rd license?
I mean isn't the point of V.E. Pro running your plugins on different machines and using them as if they were all on one insanely powerful machine?

 

the very interesting part of VEP pro for me it is to be able to load all your virtual instrument into the memory no more disk access.

my config:

1 - slave computer with 64gb of ram full loaded with all my VI via vep pro 5
2 - master computer where I launch my DAW using a template with more than 600 tracks and each tracks access to one particular sound on the slave computer

therefore more space for creativity, you don't lose any time looking for a sound or loading etc...
you launch you daw and all your sounds are here

your setup looks really great.
Do you know if this kind of Master / Slave setup is also possible with Ableton? I quite often could use more RAM and thought about such a solution.

 

It should work with any DAW using VST plugin,

basically into your daw instead to load all your vst,
you just load VEP pro as a plug in ,
then thru this plug in you connect your track to different instance of vep thru the Vienna ensemble server (it is where your sounds are loaded and configured to be loaded into the memory)
