i have installed 3 different versions, ( the demo included) and i only ever get as far as the warning "Program will only run on windows 7 sp1" .. try as i might i cannot seem to update ( i thought i was on sp1 : o ) and so i just cannot run the program. i was just wondering if anyone else has had this and, miracle of miracles , got it running...
i would just love to try it out, i love v2 , but no biggie i suppose...

you can down load the windows 7 iso with sp1 integrated from here http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-recovery
and then just make a boot-able usb pendrive to install it

but sp1 should just install from your windows update.

 

Or maybe you need the Windows6.1-KB2670838 to use the new graphic thing.....
My Win7 did not load Studio One3 without the update....

This is the correct update

I did it too on My laptop

 

With Win 7 SP1 and the platform update runs fine. I can only tell you that in some "dark" copies of win7 is not posible to install SP1 directly, you will need a clean install of windows with SP1 integrated.

 

If you think you have SP1 installed already, download and install THIS

that update just will not work for me. i guess if i want to run v3 i will have to do a total reinstall of windows I bought my machine with the OS pre-installed - it never occurred to me it might not be legit until now). i just don't think it's quite worth that so i have to demure and wait until some future point to try it out.

is your machine a older 32 bit chip only and your trying to install 64 bit?

 

no, there are two downloads on the page that is linked. one for x64, one for x86.
i have tried this avenue several times now and one thing is obvious, any attempt to update windows on this machine will not work.
i have to face up to the fact i need to reinstall os at some point. i have discovered one or two weird hiccups on my machine since yesterday as have tried to install this program. the only reasonable conclusion is that this version of windows is not 'legit'.. and that i will have to stay with older daw for now : )

sorry, but when you say modded, what does that mean exactly?
sorry for sounding like a plank...

 

Modded means an unofficial release wich has been modified, sort of non legit release if you don't have the right license


As you can see the update is the first on the list, and the second screenshot is after the update. S1 v3 running.
